“What’s up War Eagles! I am PUMPED to be joining the South Family and Community. Along with my wife, Crystal, and son, Sean, we cannot wait to get to know all aspects of that South Life!

We are bringing 12 years of coaching experience at the high school, college, and pro levels as well as 7+ years of NFL experience. I hope we can be force multipliers for this fantastic community.

Incoming Defensive Coordinator, Davis Harvey

I’m excited to accept the Defensive Coordinator position at South Forsyth High School—my alma mater. I graduated from South in 1991 and went on to play football at The Citadel, graduating in 1995.

After college, I began teaching, coaching, and living my dream. Over the past 20+ years, I have coached all over GA, serving as Head Coach at Haralson County High School and as Defensive Coordinator at Etowah, Cherokee, North Gwinnett, Worth Co., and Wheeler High Schools.

I have an amazing wife, Wendy, and two sons, Luke (15) and Jude (14). They are my purpose and what I love most in this world.

I’m thankful to return home to South Forsyth and help lead this program toward success both on and off the field. I love what I do, and I thank God every day for my family and for the opportunity to pour into the future. God blessed me to be a light, and I do my best to let that light shine.

Football is the greatest sport in the world because it requires and builds the same things life requires: toughness, trust, hard work, accountability, and character.
