"No titles or pretty ribbons today but I was really happy with Libby’s searches and we had a fun day! She found 8/9 hides in the 5 searches in today’s NW2 attempt and the judges comment below captures it well. As a team we managed a challenging floor in containers and the heat in exteriors. Libby received a pronounced in both interior searches. I just misinterpreted her fringe behavior in vehicles and never actually let her get to where the 2nd hide was. Now if I can just remember that lesson on our next attempt!"

"We went to Richmond, VA for NW3. We had 4 clean searches. I'm very happy with her performance today. She searched beautifully and on her own. She was very confident in the search areas. The icing on the cake is the judge's comment that I did a nice job allowing her to lead the search. It took almost 10 months to get her back to leading the search again so with that I felt like we accomplished way more than my expectation going into this trial. Very proud of her! 😊❤️"

"So proud of Neo today. We attended our first NW2 trial in Richmond put on by Paws Plus Training. There were a total of 5 searches, 2 Interior, 1 Exterior, 1 Vehicle Search and 1 Container Search with 9 hides total. He found all 9 and earned a 2nd place in Containers a 3rd place in 1 Interior and got a Pronounced in all 5 searches with a 3rd place Overall Pronounced. It was very nice surprise. Thanks to Anke King at K9 Bondz,LLC for all the help and support and all the NACSW trial officials and volunteers."

Thanks to Dr Ballou for letting us use Willow Animal Hospital Tuesday night to do 2 fun searches. We had a threshold hide and an inaccessible hide in a cabinet (that filled with odor) in search area 2. In search area 1, we had hides under and/or behind two chairs where the odor got trapped under the chairs, and flowed up the wall. Search area 1 also had a hide underneath the front bottom of a closed wooden framed chair with a cushion, and the odor pooled inside the chair and got caught on the wooden arm and cushion, and also flowed into the empty corner of the room next to the chair.

"Oskar had a successful weekend at scent work trial hosted by Carroll Kennel Club. He got his 3rd Q in novice buried which earned him his SBN and SWN; he got his 3rd Q in advanced exterior and got his SEA. He also got a few placements, 1st in container advanced, 2nd in exterior advanced and 3rd in interior advanced. Appreciate the club and all the volunteers for a smooth trial 😊"

Congratulations 🎊 to Team Charlie and Libby 🎊🐾🤩🥰🎉🥳🍾😍✨️🏆
"We had a fun weekend at the Carroll Kennel Club Scent Work Trial. Both Libby and Charlie had some really great moments. Libby’s Master Exterior run yesterday was one I’ll always remember as we were just in sync as a team. Libby found the hides, gave me a clear alert each time and I knew when she was finished. Q and 3rd place! Libby also earned a Master Buried Q in which she almost pulled me over to cross rows to get to one of the hot boxes and I’m told a super Excellent Container run for a guest handler. Charlie had a nice Excellent Interior run for his first Q for that level/element and a 3rd place! Charlie struggled through wood chips flooring and bleating goats to finish his Advanced Container Elite title but had no trouble snagging 2 more Q’s to finish his Advanced Buried Elite title. He also earned another Advanced Exterior Q toward that elite title. Thanks to the 5 wonderful judges - all of whom were supportive and encouraging."

"Just 24 hours after I seriously considered taking a break from scent work due to what seems/seemed to be an increasing lack of enthusiasm for the sport on Talvi’s part, she did this! HIGH IN TRIAL NOVICE!!! 😳🥳🥰
Talvi finished 3 of her novice titles this weekend with a bumper Q in all 3, and earned 2 Qs towards her Exterior Novice title on our first try. Only 1 placement, but this weekend was more about being sure and solid than going for the fastest time.
The CKC put on a great trial that ran amazingly well. I guess it was worth the 4:30AM wake up call and 2 hour drive. 🤷🏻‍♀️😆
Talvi seemed happy to be out and about and partnering with Mama again, which is the biggest win of all. ❤️ Biggest lesson learned that I already knew…sunblock is needed in September! 😬
P.S. Apparently HIT earns us a personalized ribbon which will be coming in a few weeks! Can’t wait to see it!"
