🗓️ ONLY 53 DAYS LEFT to paddle into Three Sisters Springs!

November 15 marks the start of manatee season, which means some of our favorite ways to explore the springs will look a little different!

Once manatee season begins, paddlecraft will be excluded from entering Three Sisters Springs, and only designated areas within the spring will be available for swimming.

Sanctuary lines will also be in place throughout the bay, giving manatees protected areas to rest and warm up during cold fronts. ❄️ These warmer waters are an important refuge for them as they travel into Kings Bay. 💧

So if paddling into the springs is on your bucket list this year… you’ve got 53 days!

Did you know we’re just 2 months away from Manatee Season!? 🤩

On this Throwback Thursday, we’re flashing back to last season, when hundreds of manatees gathered together on a chilly day at the entrance to Three Sisters Springs. 💧

Did you know a group of manatees is called an aggregation? During the cooler months, manatees gather in large aggregations around Florida’s natural springs, where the water stays a cozy 72°F year-round.

That warm spring water is especially important when temperatures drop, giving these gentle giants a place to escape the cold.

And before we know it, we’ll be watching this incredible sight all over again! Manatee Season starts November 15th! ✨
