🚨 PVAA NEEDS YOU! 🚨

Just like every season eventually comes to an end, so does our time in youth sports.

As the Livengood, Curtis, and Cornachia families all move on to their next chapters at the end of the season, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU for everything they have done for PVAA, our athletes, and our community. We are so grateful for the memories and years of service! ❤️

With that transition comes an exciting opportunity for NEW VOLUNTEERS to step up and become part of PVAA!

WE HAVE SEVERAL POSITIONS TO FILL THIS FALL:
•Football Commissioner
•Cheer Commissioner
•Softball Commissioner
•PVAA Vice President
•PVAA Financial Secretary (Tentative)
•PVAA Secretary

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to step in and help carry these programs forward—Maybe you’re looking for a way to give back.
Maybe you want to make a positive impact in your community.
Whatever your reason, NOW is the time to get involved!

The Potomac Valley Athletic Association is managed and maintained solely by volunteers.

Our elected 4-member PVAA Executive Board oversees the facility, scheduling, and overall operation of the complex, including: 6 Ballfields, Football Field, Soccer Fields, Playground, Pavilion Area, and Walking Track.

The EBoard also oversees our 5 youth sport programs:
⚾ PVAA Baseball League
🥎 PVAA Girls Softball
🏈📣Cresaptown Eagles Football & Cheer
⚽ PVAA Soccer

Each sport program has a commissioner who works with their own board and volunteers to manage registration, coaches, fundraisers, scheduling, communication, and all the many details that go into providing a youth sports program for our community.

It takes a lot of people behind the scenes to make it all happen!

If you have a heart for our community, enjoy working with youth, or simply want to be part of something bigger than yourself, we would love to hear from you!

🚨VOLUNTEERS NEEDED—WED 8/26 10AM🚨

Chester Copperpot has graciously offered to volunteer a few hours tomorrow morning to help work on mulching the perimeter of the playground.

If you are available to lend a hand, please stop out! All supplies provided!

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to the **Civic Association of Cresaptown** for generously donating mulch for the playground at the Cresaptown Sports Complex! Your support helps us keep our facility looking great and, most importantly, provides a better place for our kids to play. ❤️

Another special THANK YOU goes to **PVAA President Ciara Lease and her family** for spending their afternoon getting their hands dirty and mulching the playground! We truly appreciate you volunteering your time to make a difference. 👏❤️

As you can see in the pictures, there’s still more mulch to be moved around the perimeter of the playground! Maybe YOU can help!

The Cresaptown Sports Complex is a volunteer-managed facility and we are ALWAYS looking for volunteers to lend a helping hand! Even if you only have an hour a week to spare, we could use YOUR help.

We especially always need volunteers to help cut grass— We supply all the equipment and gas, you just need to bring yourself and a little time. That’s it!

Every hour, every helping hand, and every volunteer makes a difference in our community!❤️

The Hendershot boys of Hometown Hobby (Nate, Will and Shepherd) would like to offer all the boys and girls of the area one FREE baseball or softball game ball acrylic display as a gift for having a great season! Just stop down to the shop at 66 Pershing St downtown Cumberland 12-6pm Wednesday through Friday or 10-5pm on Saturday to pick them up *one per child please, no purchase necessary*

Welcome to PVAA! Our Spring sport programs are kicking off so we’d like to take a quick minute to welcome all the new families & share a bit about who we are & some helpful info about the Cresaptown Sports Complex.

Our entire organization is ran & maintained solely by volunteers! Our elected 4 member PVAA EBoard manages the facility use & scheduling at the complex, which consists of: 6 ballfields, a football field, soccer fields, playground, pavilion area, & walking track.

The EBoard also oversees 5 sport programs: PVAA Baseball League, PVAA Girls Softball, Cresaptown Eagles Football & Cheer, & PVAA Soccer . Each sport program is appointed a commissioner who manages their own Board, registration processes, coaches, fundraisers, scheduling, and everything else that goes into running youth sports.

The Cresaptown Sports Complex is open for community use all year long, from dawn to dusk.
Field & pavilion availability is based around our sport programs & scheduled rentals. (Rental info can be found on the pinned post on our page.) Leashed pets are allowed on the walking track area around the complex property, outside of all fields. No off road vehicles/equipment are permitted on the property. The entire facility is maintained by volunteers. While we do offer trash can use around the property to encourage visitors to help keep our complex enjoyable to all, dumpster & bathrooms are not available for public use.

We encourage community partnerships by hosting public events & activities, & also offer private pavilion/facility rentals, including use of the fields. For more info, please message us!
