SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26: WRESTLING IS BACK AT NORTHVIEW! The Los Angeles Wrestling Association (LAWA) is coming to Northview High School in Covina for a full day of Folkstyle wrestling. USA Wrestling sanctioned and open to wrestlers from throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding areas.

1st Session — Kids & Frosh-Soph, Boys & Girls
Weigh-ins: 7:00–8:00 AM
Wrestling starts: 9:30 AM

2nd Session — Open & Varsity, Boys & Girls
Weigh-ins: 10:00–11:00 AM
Wrestling starts: 12:00 PM
All weights pooled

Entry Fee: $22 online | $30 walk-up
Format: Double Elimination & Round Robin
Awards: Top 3 medalists per weight class

Deadline: Friday at 8:00 PM

Coaches must have a current 2026–2027 USA Wrestling membership printed to receive a band.

Parents and Wrestling family, we could really use your help (tonight) on Wednesday nights! Our weekly Bingo fundraiser is one of the ways we help raise money for our wrestling programs and keep costs down for our families. These funds help with tournament travel, hotels, entry fees, equipment, championship rings, wrestling mats and other expenses throughout the season.

There are two easy ways you can support us: come out and play Bingo or volunteer and help us run the night. We need players and volunteers anytime between 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM and you don’t have to stay the entire time. Even an hour or two helps!

Bring some family or friends, come play a few games and help support our wrestlers at Northview, Las Palmas and California Grapplers.

We appreciate everyone who continues to give their time and support our kids. See you Wednesday night!

A great weekend of wrestling at the Preseason Kickoff Tournament hosted KND Productions at Sonora High School!..Here’s a quick interview with KND’s Coach Dom Jauregui and our very own Northview alumn and California Grapplers Head Coach, Collin Hayes.

Coach Hayes and the entire California Grapplers Youth Wrestling Club - Covina, CA staff have been doing an amazing job, recently leading our team to the championship at the always competitive Hammer Duals 12U Tournament.

California Grapplers Youth Wrestling Club is a year-round program training wrestlers in folkstyle, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling out of Northview High School in Covina, CA.

Congratulations to Ares Duarte on being featured as Telemundo Los Angeles’ Atleta de la Semana!

A California Triple Crown winner and one of our team’s strongest leaders, Ares recently helped the California Grapplers win the Hammer Duals. Competing as one of the younger wrestlers in the 12U division, he defeated older opponents and stepped up as a captain who kept the team focused, energized and moving forward.

What a day for our California Grapplers 12U dual team! We started the day by winning all three dual meets and finishing first in our pool. That moved us into the Gold Bracket, where we faced Rising Sun, a talented Arizona All Star team. After several close and exciting matches, our wrestlers stepped up and earned the win.

We then battled a very strong Montanona Training Center team before finishing the night against the SoCal Hammers. It was a long and intense day, but our kids continued to fight, support one another and compete hard until the final whistle.

Congratulations to all our wrestlers, wrestling partners, coaches, parents and everyone who helped make this possible. A big thank you to the SoCal Hammers coaches, parents, staff and snack bar crew for hosting a great day of wrestling and taking care of everyone throughout the tournament. Looking forward to the next one.
