SAN ANTONIO SPORTS HALL OF FAME
Tameka Roberts-Nunez distinguished herself as one of the most accomplished student-athletes in The University of Texas at San Antonio history During the 1990s, she earned eight All-America honors and captured 17 individual and relay conference championships. At the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials, she competed in the 100m, 200m, and long jump.
A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Roberts-NuΓ±ez won two golds at the U.S. Indoor Championships in the 200m in 1997 and 1998 with a personal best of 23.04. She earned three All-America accolades in 1996, finishing sixth in the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships, as well as ninth in the 200m and eleventh in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. She collected her first All-America certificate in the long jump at the 1995 NCAA Outdoor Championships and reeled in three All America awards in 1997.
Her long list of Southland Conference awards includes three Indoor and two Outdoor Athlete of the Year honors, as well as being named Outstanding Track Performer five times and Outstanding Field Performer once. She was the high-point scorer at the conference meet four times and helped the Roadrunners win league outdoor titles in 1996 and 1997-
Roberts-Nunez still holds all-time records at UTSA in the indoor 200m (23.26) and outdoor 100m (11.25) and 200m (22.94)). She also remains UTSA's most decorated performer at the NCAA Championships.
Tameka Roberts Nunez was inducted into the UTSA Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of its inaugural class in 2023.

We had an amazing turnout, incredible competition, andβmost importantlyβSO much support from our parents, families, and fans! β€οΈ
And boy, oh boyβ¦ we are in for a GREAT volleyball season this year! π₯π There is so much talent throughout Corpus Christi and the surrounding area schools, and it was exciting to see these young athletes compete, grow, and showcase their skills.
The future of volleyball in our area is looking VERY bright! π
Congratulations to all the teams, coaches, athletes, and families who made Spikefest Jr. such a success. Letβs keep building, competing, and supporting these young ladies all season long!
