For K. Limon, joining RTFC meant taking a leap of faith.

At just 19 years old, she made the decision to leave college and pursue a career that her father had once been a part of, a decision that would not only shape her career, but who she would become.

“With the knowledge and experience I gained through recruit class and four years of shift works, I wouldn’t have made any other decision.”

Through the challenges of training and life on shift, she found more than a profession. She found a foundation built on sacrifice, discipline, consistency, and teamwork.

“The same standards I’ve learned at RTFC, responsibility, respect, the value of safety, and working as a team, have shaped not only my career, but my personal life as well.”

RTFC has operated as a nonprofit organization since 1948.
