Formed in 1938, our mission is "The enjoyment, mastery and furtherance of archery as a sport through cooperation and good fellowship."
The Tejas Archery Bowmen Club's activities are centered to promote archery as a sport for the family. Our shooters range from 6 years old to very special senior citizens. Whether you're a bow hunter or an avid tournament shooter, we have full facilities for up to 28 field shooting (targets), 3-D shooting and a first class practice range that allows for 10-70 yard shots. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our longtime Tejas Bowmen lifetime members, Bruce Heard.
Bruce was more than a great shooter, he was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a helping hand, share his knowledge, and do whatever was needed to support the club and his fellow archers.
His friendship, generosity, and presence on the range will be deeply missed by all of us at Tejas Bowmen.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bruce’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We are grateful for the many years, memories, and friendships we were fortunate enough to share with him.
Rest easy, Bruce. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
