When I'm coming back after a vacation, I know one thing to be true: it can be hard to get back to my routine!
But I also know something elseโฆ
When I put the power of the "๐๐ถ๐ด ๐ ๐ผ" in motion, it gets a whole lot easier.
Big Mo = momentum.
You've heard the saying, "A body at rest stays at rest, and a body in motion stays in motion."
That's actually Newton's First Law of Motion!
And it's why getting (re)started can feel so difficult.
But it's also why it's so important to ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฝ.
Once you build momentum, showing up becomes easier, and those healthy habits start feeling natural again.
If you're thinking about getting started, or getting back on track, with your strength, mobility, and healthy habits, consider this your sign to get moving!
Yes, the first workout, walk, or healthy meal might be the hardest. But every step forward builds momentum.
It's literally physics!
๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐บ๐ฒ "๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง" and I'll send you a simple resource to help you get back on track with your strength, mobility, and healthy habits.

She wasn't confused about how to stay active or what healthy habits looked like.
What she was confused about was why she wasn't consistently following through.
Her intentions were good, but life kept getting in the way.
Sound familiar?
Together, we created a plan that fit her lifestyle, one that included accountability, encouragement, and a supportive community.
We helped her build a routine she could enjoy, celebrated her progress along the way, and made adjustments whenever she needed them so she could keep moving forward with confidence.
It helps to have someone in your corner, encouraging you every step of the way.
Today, Dollie has built a healthy routine she genuinely enjoys.
As she shared, "I was looking for a fun way to stay active, and joining YPB was one of the best decisions I ever made. It helped me build a healthy routine that I still enjoy today."
If you're ready to stop trying to do it all on your own and want the support, accountability, and community to help you stay strong, active, and independent, that's exactly what we offer inside our

Raise your hand if you've ever been in a snack rut. ๐
We talk a lot about meals, but snacks can make or break your healthy eating habits.
Having the right options on hand means you're much less likely to grab something that'll derail your goals.
Planning your snacks ahead of time is one of those simple habits that makes a surprisingly big difference.
My current go-to snacks are a handful of mixed nuts, sliced veggies with hummus, Greek yogurt with berries, or an apple with natural peanut butter.
They give me the protein, fiber, and healthy fats I need to stay energized and satisfied between meals.
One thing I always try to do is include protein in my snacks.
It helps support muscle health, keeps me feeling full longer, and helps avoid those afternoon energy crashes.

๐ช Strength training is about so much more than building muscle.
For active adults over 50, getting stronger can help you move with confidence, support balance, make everyday activities easier, and stay independent so you can keep doing what you love.
Strength isn't just about the gym. It's about building a stronger life.

This is about the time my body told me what it needed (vs. what I wanted).
A while back, I was absolutely crushing my strength-training workouts, pickleball sessions, and weekly training routine.
I felt amazing. I was getting stronger, had great energy, and loved being active every day.
And then one day I realized I did not feel amazing andโฆ let's just say my workouts felt more like they were crushing me.
What had happened?
For me personally, it was a combination of stress, a full schedule, and not giving my body enough time to recover.
Between coaching, training, pickleball, and everything else life throws our way, I realized my body wasn't asking me to quit, it was asking me to train smarter.
I was feeling sore, tired, and just not recovering the way I normally did.
Once I realized what was happening, I scaled back my workout intensity for a few days, prioritized sleep, focused on hydration and nutrition, and gave my body the recovery it needed.
It sounds so simple, but it made a big difference.
The key is recognizing it when this happens.
I'm sharing this because as tempting as it is to put your fitness on autopilot, it's important to listen to your body and give it what it needsโฆ
..and sometimes what it needs isn't more. It's different.
For many active adults over 50, that doesn't mean doing less forever.
It means adjusting your workouts, recovery, nutrition, and routine so your body can keep getting stronger for the long haul.
That's exactly what I help active adults do every day at YPB Training Studio.
If you're ready to stop guessing and start following a plan that works with your body, not against it, we'd love to help.
