Well… that was humbling. 😅
After 2.5 years + 7months off the bike (thanks to having a baby, postpartum life, building a business, and generally wondering where all my spare time disappeared), I finally clipped in again. (Minus the ride 6months pp when I was stung in the face by a yellow jacket and ended up in urgent care).
The good news? I still remember how to ride.
The bad news? My lungs were not so sure and now I need to find more energy to ride with my toddler 😂
But honestly, it felt so good to be back out there.

Throwback to my first Science&Cycling conference 10 years ago! Young, eager and in awe that I was in the same room as the researchers I had been referencing in my thesis. And now I sit here 10 years later, PhD done, papers published and seeing our research being referenced. What a journey, always learning! Swipe to the last photo to see an updated dinner photo!

Did your long ride leave your hips tight and your back stiff?
This is one of our favourite post-ride stretches to do straight after you get off the bike. This hip flexor and Thoracic stretch targets two of the areas cyclists neglect most: opening up the hips and releasing tension through the mid and upper back so you recover better and feel fresher for your next ride.
Swipe to see how to do it. 👉
