Irama Godoy – The Journey to the World Championship 🌎🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️
From her first marathon to standing on the start line of a 70.3 World Championship, this journey represents so much more than race times.
As her coach, one of the things I value most is seeing what happens when an athlete truly commits to the process.
It’s the consistency between races, the early mornings, the workouts that don’t always feel great, the adjustments when life gets busy, learning from every race, and continuing to show up.
My job as a coach isn’t just to write workouts. It’s to guide the process, recognize when to push and when to pull back, help her learn from each experience, and keep the long-term goal in focus.
Irama has trusted that process.
And she has continued to set bigger goals, step outside her comfort zone, and prove to herself that she is capable of more.
I am incredibly proud to coach an athlete who is this dedicated to her goals. Watching her progress from marathoner to 70.3 athlete and now to a World Championship competitor has been incredibly rewarding.
The medals, times, and finish lines are special — but watching the athlete she has become along the way is what makes me most proud.
Proud coach. Proud of the athlete. Proud of the journey. ❤️
And we’re not done yet 💪🏼
