From shimmering sea creatures to underwater treasures, it’s the perfect way for young dancers to spend a summer week at the studio.

WEEK 3 OF SUMMER DANCE IS HERE!
The excitement continues at Ballet Academy of Texas as we begin another week of Summer Intensives and Workshops for our Level 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 dancers.

This week’s classes will focus on building strength, refining technique, developing artistry, and inspiring a love of learning through dance.

We’re entering the final days of the Stars of Tomorrow Tour!
Today, our dancers and faculty have arrived in beautiful Innsbruck, Austria, for the last stop of this incredible international adventure.

Over the next few days, our dancers will:
Perform in one Gala Performance
Present two matinee performances
Participate in a cultural exchange with local students

After sharing their artistry and representing Ballet Academy of Texas on the international stage, our group will return home on July 2.

As our Austria journey comes to a close, we are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the studio!
📅 Workshops and Summer Intensives resume next week, and we can't wait to see our dancers back in class for four more exciting weeks of training, growth, and summer dance fun.

AUDITION NOTICE
2026/27 Ballet Ensemble of Texas

📅 Audition Date: August 16, 2026
If you dream of performing, growing as an artist, and being part of a pre-professional performing company, we invite you to audition!

Audition Requirements:
• Minimum age 12 and evaluated for Level 6 or above at Ballet Academy of Texas
• Bring pointe shoes if you have completed at least one year of pointe training
• Currently taking five or more ballet classes per week exclusively at Ballet Academy of Texas
• Available for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings, select Thursday evenings, and Saturday afternoons from August through May
• Able to attend the Mandatory Winter Workshop – January 2–6, 2027

October 3 – Arts Sip & Stroll
October 30 & 31 – Dracula… A Ballet with a Bite
December 5 & 6 – The Nutcracker
April 24 & 25 – George Skibine’s The Firebird and Other Works
May 15 – Ballet Academy of Texas Spring Gala

✈️🩰 Summer is on hold... because Austria is calling!
Our advanced students and faculty are in Austria to participate in the prestigious Stars of Tomorrow performances, and we couldn't be more excited! ✨

Dancers will perform:
☕ Café por la Noche — Choreography by Lindsey Yoes Daniel
🤠 Texas on Pointe — Choreography by Flemming Flindt
🎩 Purple Hat — Choreography by Tammie Reinsch
These are just three of the eight incredible works our dancers will present on the international stage.

📅 Please note: The studio will be closed June 15–July 3 while our dancers and teachers are in Austria representing Ballet Ensemble of Texas.

But don't put away those ballet shoes for long! We return to the studio on July 6 for four more exciting weeks of Summer Intensives and Workshops, packed with opportunities for dancers of all ages to learn, grow, and be inspired. 🩰☀️

🗓 Mandatory Parent Meeting
📍 Saturday, September 12
All parents of students in Primary Ballet through Level 8 (Non-Company) MUST attend.
🔔 A parent must attend this meeting for your dancer to audition and participate!

🩰 Auditions – Saturday, September 19
📍 Ballet Academy of Texas
✨ Ballet 7, 8, and Company members will be cast by staff — no audition required. Parent attendance is still mandatory unless your student is a member of the Ensemble.
