The Ballet Ensemble of Texas is excited to announce auditions for our 2026 production of The Nutcracker!

MANDATORY PARENT MEETING
Saturday, September 12
All parents of students in Primary Ballet through Level 8 (Non-Company) MUST attend.
A parent must attend this meeting for your dancer to audition and participate!

AUDITIONS – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

Primary Ballet - 12:30-1:45
Ballet 1 - 1:30-2:45
Ballet 2 – 2:30-3:45
Ballet 3 – 3:30-4:45
Ballet 4 – 4:30-6:00
Ballet 5 – 5:30-7:00
Ballet 6, 7, 8, and Company members will be cast by staff — no audition required. Parent attendance is still mandatory unless your student is a member of the Ensemble.

Ballet Ensemble of Texas is seeking passionate, disciplined dancers to join our 2026–2027 Season. As a member of the Ensemble, dancers have the opportunity to perform a diverse repertoire, work with accomplished choreographers and faculty, and gain invaluable stage experience in a pre-professional environment.

Our exciting season includes:
• Arts Sip & Stroll
• Dracula: A Ballet with a Bite
• The Nutcracker
• Celebration of Dance 2027
• Ballet Academy of Texas Spring Gala

Audition Date: August 16 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Ballet Academy of Texas

Eligible dancers should be at least 12 years old, be evaluated for Level 6 or above at Ballet Academy of Texas, and be committed to the rehearsal and performance schedule throughout the season.

BALLET ENSEMBLE OF TEXAS IS THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE LINDSEY YOES DANIEL AS THE NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR!

Lindsey’s journey with Ballet Ensemble of Texas began in 2001 as one of the company’s original dancers. After performing principal and featured roles through 2007, she returned to BET in 2015 as Ballet Master, a position she held for more than a decade before stepping into her new role as Artistic Director.

Throughout her time with BET, Lindsey has played an integral role in staging, rehearsing, and coaching the company’s extensive repertoire, mentoring generations of young dancers and helping develop award-winning artists recognized at prestigious international ballet competitions.

A graduate of the University of North Texas with degrees in Dance and Psychology, Lindsey is an American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum Certified Teacher and Progressing Ballet Technique® certified instructor. She has also enjoyed a professional performing career with organizations including The Dallas Opera, Texas Dance Theatre, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre II, where she served as Assistant Director and performed as a soloist.

As Artistic Director, Lindsey is honored to lead BET into its next chapter, building upon the company’s legacy while inspiring artistic excellence, exceptional training, and transformative performance experiences.

Her vision is to create a community where young artists feel seen, supported, inspired, and empowered to discover confidence, creativity, courage, and their own extraordinary potential.

The First Day of the 2026–2027 Season is Here!
Today we welcome our dancers back to Ballet Academy of Texas for another year of exceptional training, growth, and artistry. We are excited to begin a season filled with new goals, new accomplishments, and a love for classical ballet.
