For Coach Alyssa Noonan, one of Coppell Tennis’ proudest moments came when the team overcame tough opponents, qualified for the state tournament and made history for the school.
But the legacy she hopes to leave goes beyond results. She wants her athletes to remember that she cared about them, had their best interests at heart and taught lessons they can carry with them long after tennis.

What can a team accomplish when it refuses to quit?
Coach Erin Kauffman has seen firsthand how belief, leadership and hard work can overcome the odds.
As an assistant varsity volleyball coach at Coppell, she brings that same philosophy to the Cowgirls every day: coach them hard, believe in them and love them even harder.

Get to know Coach Dru Smith.
One of Coach Dru Smith’s favorite development stories started with a freshman C-team quarterback who kept working his way through the program and eventually started four varsity games, winning three of them.
That kind of growth is what coaching is about for Smith. As Coppell Football’s wide receivers coach, he hopes his athletes remember him as someone they could always talk to and rely on, both on and off the field.

Meet Coach Donald Smith, associate football coach and inside linebackers coach at Coppell.
Now entering his fifth year at Coppell, Coach Smith has spent nearly two decades coaching. Along the way, he has watched former players go on to serve in the military and become coaches themselves.
His perspective on legacy is simple: “Gold balls tarnish.” More than wins and trophies, he wants to build relationships that last long after his athletes leave the field.
