Team Georgia 14U

What an incredible week for Team Georgia at the USSSA Space Coast World Series in Viera, Florida!

On the field, we competed hard, finishing 2-1 in pool play and 1-1 in bracket play before our season came to an end on a walk-off loss to a talented second-year 14U team. While the tournament didn’t end the way we had hoped, we’re proud of the way these girls battled every pitch and never quit.

While we all love to compete, this week was a reminder that the best part of travel ball is the relationships. The memories made, the laughs shared, the time spent together as families, and the lifelong friendships these girls are building are worth more than any championship trophy.

As we wrap up our first year at the 14U level, it’s hard not to look back with pride at everything this group accomplished. We finished the season with an outstanding 47-27-1 record while competing against some of the best teams in the Southeast. Along the way, we were crowned USSSA Fall State Gold Champions, USFA Ice Breaker Gold Champions, PGF State B Gold Champions, and USSSA Georgia State Gold Champions. We also finished as Runner-Up at the Top Flight Cinco de Mayo Tournament and battled our way through the USSSA Space Coast World Series against elite competition. But more important than the trophies and wins, this team built a culture centered around hard work, accountability, resilience, and family. These girls have laid a foundation that Team Georgia Softball will continue to build on, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they accomplished together.

Year one of 14U is officially in the books, and what a year it has been. Now it’s time to get back to work. There are some big things on the horizon for our program, and we can’t wait to share them with everyone. The future is bright, and we’re already looking forward to getting back on the field this fall with a great group of girls ready to compete in 2nd year 14U!

Team Georgia took a break from the softball field and headed to Truist Park for a team outing to support Coach Shane and his Giants as they took on the Braves! ⚾️💙

A huge thank you to Coach Shane for helping make it a special night and getting the girls down on the field after the game. Opportunities like that create memories these girls will never forget.

More importantly, it was a great night of team bonding, laughs, and spending time together away from the softball field. The relationships built off the field are just as important as the ones built on it, and nights like this help make our team family even stronger.

🥎 USSSA Georgia State Champions! 🥎

What a Saturday for Team Georgia!

After a small hiccup in the 3rd pool play game, these girls responded and rebounded great. We finished the day 5-1, battled our way through the Gold Bracket, knocked off two top-seeded teams, and saved our best for last.

In the Championship Game, the girls found themselves trailing late, but never quit. They exploded for 7 runs in the final inning to complete a great come-from-behind victory to bring home the USSSA Georgia State Championship Gold Rings! 💍🏆

This team showed heart, grit, resilience, and belief in each other all day long. The pitching competed, the defense made plays when it mattered most, and the bats came alive when the pressure was highest.

So proud of these young ladies for fighting through, finishing the drill and proving that championships aren’t won when everything goes your way—they’re won when you respond when things don’t.

Now it’s time to get back to work and prepare for the USSSA Space Coast World Series coming up in just a few weeks. 🚀🥎
