Yesterday was the day. 60 yards. 30 cows watching. One arrow.
Sometimes bowhunting elk feels damn near impossible. But every morning I wake up with the same mindset: today could be the day. That’s what keeps me putting one foot in front of the other when the Public Land Hustle gets real.
I closed the deal on this bull at 60 yards, standing in front of all 30 of his cows. He died just 66 yards from where I shot him. All glory to God.
And none of this happens without my wife—the most supportive human being on planet Earth. She holds down the fort and gives me the freedom to chase this crazy dream. ❤️
The setup:
Easton X10 Parallel Pro
Podium Titanium two-piece component
TAC 2.25s — 3 vane, 2° left offset
Evolution Outdoors Hyde 100-grain screw-in
I found the arrow 30 yards past where the bull was standing.
Packed him out all night and now I’m pointing the truck south to drop off the meat & chase more bugles.
The Public Land Hustle continues. 🏹
