8/8/26 Race recap.

Well. It was a heck of a day. The heat and humidity were awful, but a careless mistake by another driver made the day even worse. The weekend was already tough, as we knew it was Annabelle’s last race (we move her into High Point University next weekend), but the second practice proved to be catastrophic for Ava in the 04.

As Ava was coming off the track after the second practice had concluded, she was rear ended by an inexperienced driver who was running full race speed (who neither the driver nor spotter were paying attention to the officials or the flags), essentially destroying her (brand new) car and ending her day before it really even started. Ava is ok (other than a sore neck and back) but her car is going to need some TLC to get it ready for the next race. Nobody from the team who caused the wreck came to check on her, offer an apology, or a extend hand in helping to get the car back on track. Not a good look, and not how we roll, but i guess that’s part of racing.

In the 28, Annabelle battled motor gremlins again for the first practice, missed the second practice and qualified horribly. Since Ava’s car was out of commission, we dove in head first in diagnosing Annabelle’s car in the time between the abysmal qualifying (p9) and the race, and we figured out there was an issue with the wiring harness, so we got that rectified just before time to start the race (thank you to Trayc Walker Scott for all of your help). Annabelle started inside row 5, and by the end of the first lap, she had already gained 4 spots. Through the next ten or so laps, Annabelle drove her best race to date, logged her fastest lap ever (20.3), and ultimately finished out her final race in P3, with her fifth consecutive podium of the season.

After we recover from moving Annabelle in to college, we will focus our efforts on getting Ava’s car back together and ready for August 29th! Hopefully her luck will improve from this point forward!

Congrats to Tuggie Case on his second win of the season!!!

7/18/26 Race Recap…

Sometimes you’re the windshield, sometimes you’re the bug. Today, we were the bug(s)!

Our bad day started when Annabelle’s throttle cable broke in staging for first practice, which caused her to miss practice. Ava ran the first practice but was a little tight so we loosened her up to get ready for second practice.

We got Annabelle’s throttle cable replaced, but something went south with her motor, which we ultimately couldn’t get figured out, despite the (very much appreciated) help of many of our competitors and their teams. Unfortunately, Annabelle’s day ended before she was able to get started.

Ava had a good second practice, but during qualifying, her car got loose and spun and unfortunately she backed it into the wall, causing rear end damage that we couldn’t get repaired in time for her to make the race.

The bright side is that both Annabelle and Ava are safe and unharmed, and we will be able to make the necessary repairs to have both girls back on track for the next race on August 8th!

Thank you to everyone that helped us to try to get Annabelle’s motor gremlins figured out, especially Bryson Nichols Motorsports! Also, thank you to Matt DiBenedetto Racing and Trayc Walker Scott for helping get Ava through practice and qualifying!

Finally, congrats to JR Motorsports on yet another win, and for the help with Annabelle’s motor issues!

Race Recap! 🏁🏁
Annabelle Beavers had a strong car yesterday, finishing top 3 in both practices and qualifying P2 for the 15 lap feature. Unfortunately, the slick track caused her to spin in lap 11 of the race, sending her to the rear for the restart. With determination and a fast car, Annabelle drove her way through the field of cars and landed herself a P3 finish, securing her 4th podium finish of the season. Although it wasn’t the finish we were hoping for, we’re proud of the fight and can’t wait to be back on the track next Saturday for some more short track racing!

Congratulations to JR Motorsports on his 4th win of the season!
