The NHTI Baseball coaching staff is excited to welcome Mental Performance Coach Patrick McKenna to spend time with our program and work with our student-athletes on one of the most important—and often overlooked—parts of baseball: the mental game.
Baseball is a game built around failure. Hitters will make outs, pitchers will give up hits, fielders will make errors, and every player will experience slumps, pressure, adversity, and moments of self-doubt. What often separates successful players isn’t whether they fail—it’s how they respond to it.
As a coaching staff, we believe player development goes far beyond the weight room, batting cage, and bullpen. We invited Patrick to work with our athletes and provide them with tools to strengthen their confidence, focus, routines, resilience, and ability to handle pressure. Learning how to flush the last pitch, control what you can control, and compete with confidence can have an enormous impact both on and off the field.
We’re grateful to have Patrick McKenna spend time with our players and help us continue developing the complete student-athlete.
