It’s been a long time since I’ve had a class filled entirely with White Belts, and as an instructor, there’s something very special about seeing this.

The White Belt is more than just the first rank. It represents the courage to walk through the door, the confidence to try something new, and the determination to take that first step — even when you don’t know yet where the journey will take you.

Every Black Belt you see today once stood exactly where these students are standing now.

And we have a saying that I hope every one of them remembers:

“A Black Belt is a White Belt who never quits.”

This is where the journey begins. One class, one skill, and one belt at a time.
