A working ranch in the Texas Hill Country opens close to 30 miles of mountain bike trail across its limestone hills, and riders keep making the drive back for it.

The Wednesday evening Ride is on today. 6:30 pm, wheels down 6:45 pm. This is a free ride after 6:00pm, Wednesdays only. Sunset is at 7:50 pm and last light is 8:14 pm. May need lights at end of ride. Temperature will be 89° to 84° Bring lots of water, it is still hot. We will have after ride grilling with gas pit. Burn Ban is back on. MOVING THE SIGN!

We are going to have an automatic gate installed for my 94 year old mom. Need to move the Flat Rock Ranch and open signs out of the way of the auto gate swing.

We went to Home Depot and bought new treated lumber for a new sign board. Today we built the new sign board at my workshop.

We took the new sign board to the front gate and laid it on the ground where we want to set it. We transferred all the signage from the old sign board to the new one. We then removed the old board and pulled the t-posts.

We strapped the Flat Rock Ranch sign with ratchet straps and pulled it out with the tractor. We laid it where we will dig a new hole for it.

We are currently waiting for the telephone cable locator to locate. He’s out there now.

Tomorrow we will reset the sign board and the rock. Hoping I can convince the gate guy to dig a couple of post holes with his digging rig!
