The Columbus Coyotes Rugby Football Club is an LGBTQ+ inclusive club with over 35 players. It competes in Division 2 of the IGR and Division 4 of USA Rugby.
The club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In 2011, a group of guys started an inclusive rugby team to eliminate homophobia in contact sports. They called this team the Columbus Coyotes Rugby Football Club. Six years later on May 6th 2017, the Coyotes celebrated a milestone in moving closer to that goal. The Coyotes fought hard in the game against Chicago Dragons RFC. It’s was close, but the Dragons pulled through in a 10-12 game. Great game, everyone!
