Rest easy Mikey. You will never be forgotten.

It is with a heavy heart, our friend, our teammate, our brother, Mike "Cannon Ball" Clark has passed away after a short battle with cancer. Cancer SUCKS! Words cannot express the love we have for this man. He was a great friend and Buckeye for the past 16 years. He was with us from almost the beginning, hauling everything to the field, helping out financially, helping set up and pitching for our team. I am at a loss for words right now, but will find them as we go through the grieving process. Love eachother and remember, you don't know when the last time you'll take the field with someone.

Your Columbus Buckeyes finished the 2nd day of the World Tournament of Vintage Base Ball, by besting the Lah De Dahs and the Oregon Ganymedes Vintage Baseball to claim the 3rd Class Championship. As we now rest and heal up, look forward to meeting us and watching us play at the Ohio Cup this Labor Day weekend in Westerville, Ohio. We will be playing 3 games on Sunday. Free to attend.

Competition was tough first day. I feel we left Saturday with some feelings of lost opportunities. New day tomorrow, as we play the Lah De Dahs @ 8:00. Will update after games.

A few days away from World Tournament. Tough draw for us, but we are always underestimated. Looking forward to our guys taking the field and playing their hearts out. Just hope bodies hold out! Will send updates here.

The Columbus Buckeyes are adding to their roster. If you are tired of softball, love the history of base ball, and are between the ages of 18-30, we would like to speak with you. High school or college ball preferred as we play competitive events including the World Tournament of Vintage Base Ball. If you know someone that may be interested, please pass along and message us. Thank you.

The Columbus Buckeyes played in the Akron Cup this past weekend. The weather was hot and despite nursing some injuiries and getting help from Bryar Wilson, a 15 year old nephew of Sawbone who filled in nicely, we won some games. There was some fine striking and fielding from all. Scores are as follows and pics were taken by Ron Gay and Marc Heng.
Game 1- Buckeyes 24 Mansfield 2
Game 2- Flat Rock
Game 3- Buckeyes 12 Addison 6
Game 4- Alliance
Game 5- Buckeyes 9 Akron 4

The Columbus Buckeyes celebrated America 250 with friends and family from all over the state. We hosted the Ohio Traveling All-Stars made up from players from cities near and far. We sent out a request and they came, to brave the heat and play a full 1867 game in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Special thanks to Tom Stiteler, Gerard Milewski, Mike Evans, Kyle Schreck, Robert Daily, Tex Miller, Travis Snow, Gavin Snow, and Mike Snow for driving countless hours to play a game in this heat. The game produced some great offensive and defensive plays, but the love on the field made today a great day, as Mt. Vernon got to see vintage base ball for the first time. Thank you to my Buckeyes and family for making it all happen. Next weekend, we will be at the Akron Cup both Saturday and Sunday.

Your Columbus Buckeyes will be playing a team of players barnstorming the state from cities abound, in a game of 1867 base ball. Come check out the game and see how it was played prior to big league contracts or even gloves. Bare handed masterful catches ate common and double plays come with ease. No milkboys here! Game is at 1:00 in Mt. Vernon. Please bring a chair or pop up to enjoy your boys demonstrating how the game is played.

The Buckeyes played a great game of 1860s base ball against the Ohio Village Muffins today. The striking was fierce and the defense superb as the Buckeyes only allowed 1 run through 9 innings. Thank you to the Muffins for hosting. Thank you to Brad Hill for unretiring and joining us for the day and Zack for doing the pitching duties. It was great seeing Mike Clark at our game. We love you Mike!
