Our Thursday Night Rides just keep growing! 🚲💜 Every week we see new faces alongside familiar members of our community, and we couldn’t be more excited.
This is an all-inclusive, family-friendly ride where everyone is welcome. Bring the kids, invite a friend, and come enjoy the sunshine with us! Anyone can lead a ride as long as you have a route to share. Before we roll out, we always do a quick safety check to make sure every bike is ready to ride so we can all enjoy a safe and fun evening together.
We usually cruise about 6–7 miles 😛, but sometimes we’ll keep it a little shorter to make sure everyone can join in comfortably.
🔧 Today is Open Shop! If you’ve ever had a question about your bike or wanted to learn how to fix it yourself, today is the perfect opportunity. We’ll teach you how to work on your own bike and help you build the confidence to keep riding.
📍934 Parsons Ave
🕛 Open Tuesday–Saturday | 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
We hope to see you in the shop and on tonight’s ride! 🚴☀️💜

Last Friday, our Executive Director, West Kyle, and Board President, Nichelle Harris, had the opportunity to visit Lincoln Elementary and provide free bicycle safety education to an amazing group of children at their summer camp! 🚲💚
We covered helmet fitting, the ABC Quick Check, how to tell if a bike is safe to ride, hand signals, and even introduced the kids to bicycle infrastructure like sharrows and other important road signs using a real bicycle and visual diagrams. Their engagement and excitement made the experience incredibly rewarding!
A huge thank you to Darlene, the Youth Development Director, for inviting us to be part of the summer camp. Opportunities like these remind us why we do this work. We’re committed to making cycling safer and more accessible while investing in our neighbors on the South Side.
If you’d like us to come to your school, email us and we’ll get you booked on the calendar. There are tons of opportunities for education and safety lessons!
If you’d like to support what we do, come volunteer with us or consider making a donation to help us continue providing free bicycle education and affordable transportation to our community.
🚲 Tonight is Volunteer Night!

🚲 A huge milestone for Bikes for All People!
Since opening our doors in 2014, we’ve never offered a full drop off bicycle service where you could leave your bike with us for a professional tune up.
With our shop under new leadership, this is officially the first year we’ve offered service, and in less than a year we’ve already completed 110+ service packages! 🎉
To everyone who has trusted us with your bike, thank you. Every tune up helps support the programs we offer, keeps cycling accessible in our community, and yes… even helps keep the lights on. 😂❤️
We also want to give a huge shout out to our incredible staff for treating every bike like it’s their own and making sure each bicycle gets the love and care it deserves. Your hard work and dedication are what make this possible.
If your bike needs some love, bring it by! No appointment needed.

What an incredible weekend! 💙
A huge thank you to all of our board members, volunteers, and our accounting team for making this day possible. This was our very first year at ComFest, and we had an absolute blast!
A special shoutout to the Bike Corral for letting riders know we were offering free bike repairs and bicycle safety education. With their help, we were able to tune up more than 30 bikes throughout the event!
The best part was connecting with neighbors, meeting new people, and sharing what Bikes for All People is all about. Events like this remind us why we do what we do, making cycling more accessible while building a stronger, healthier community together.
You might even catch us on ABC 6 as they stopped by to feature us while we were providing free tune ups and connecting with the community! 📺🚲
We’re back at the shop today from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and don’t forget, it’s Volunteer Night from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Come wrench with us, learn new skills, and help keep more bikes rolling. We can’t wait to see you! 🚲💙

We feel incredibly blessed to be part of such a long-standing community event and to have the opportunity to connect with so many people through the power of bicycles.
Stop by and see us Friday and Sunday from 12 PM–6 PM. We’ll be set up right next to the Bike Valet providing FREE Level 1 tune-ups and bicycle safety education. Bring your bike by, get it checked over, and learn some valuable skills to keep yourself safe on the road.
If you participate in our bicycle safety classes, you’ll receive a FREE U-lock, helmet, light set, and shirt while supplies last.
Come say hello, get your bike tuned up, learn something new, and see what Bikes for All People is all about. We can’t wait to meet you!

💜 A huge thank you to Glenn for everything he has done for Bikes for All People over the years.
As a board member for Bikes for All People for years, his leadership, wisdom, and steady guidance have helped shape this organization in so many ways. Whenever the team had a big idea, he always helped everyone think beyond the moment and plan for what came next. His ability to balance vision with strategy has made a lasting impact on the shop, the board, and the community.
The organization is incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and heart he has invested in this mission. While he will be deeply missed in this role, his influence will continue to be felt through the work done every day.
Thank you, Glenn, for believing in Bikes for All People and helping it grow into what it is today. Wishing him all the best in this next chapter—the team hopes their paths continue to cross.

💜 Another great Thursday at the shop!
We were excited to have Columbus Gives Back join us and spend time learning how to build and repair bikes. It’s always empowering to see community members roll up their sleeves and help us get more affordable bicycles ready for people who need them.
After volunteer night, our good friend Kevin led this week’s Slow Roll Discovery Ride, taking riders through Livingston Park, First AME Church, Kelton House, CMOA, Columbus State, Thurber House, and the Lincoln Theatre. To keep things interesting, Kevin challenged everyone to guess which of his stories at each stop were his “3 lies,” making for a fun mix of local history, laughs, and conversation along the way.
If you haven’t made it out to one of our Thursday rides yet, come join us! We work hard to keep them inclusive, safe, welcoming, and family-friendly for riders of all ages and experience levels. 🚲💜

💜 Our volunteer nights have been growing, and it’s been awesome seeing both new faces and longtime members of the shop continue showing up to support our mission. The support, energy, and dedication from our community are what keep this place moving forward.
If you’d like to get involved, stop by during our open hours Tuesday–Saturday from 12pm–5pm and learn more about volunteering with us!
And if you know someone who needs a bike, tell them about our Wheels of Opportunity Program. Community members can volunteer for 4 days (3 hours each day) and receive a bicycle, helmet, lock (if available), and light set (if available). It’s a great way to give back, learn new skills, and gain reliable transportation.
Come be part of the community! 🚲💜

💜🚲 Last week Jamila stopped by the shop with her son looking for a bike, and our Executive Director, West, was able to help them find the perfect ride!
💜 He left with a Trek Jet Fuel equipped with front and rear brakes for excellent stopping power and confidence on every ride. The smile on his face said it all!
💜 One of the coolest parts of the visit happened when Jamila realized she and West actually went to high school together back in the day. What a small world and a great reminder of how connected our community is.
💜 Volunteer Night is TONIGHT from 6:30 PM–8:30 PM! Come earn shop credit, learn how to wrench on bikes, meet new people, and help make cycling more accessible in our community.
💜 We hope to see you there!
