Subject: Drop-ins, we love you. Winter does not. Here’s exactly what $49 gets you.
Hey Drop-In Crew,
Bill Taylor here — Chief Vision Officer, professional court-counter, and the guy staring at 38 indoor courts like a man who knows winter is about to test the fire code.
We love our drop-in players. You keep the place alive.
But here’s the clear part: as we head into winter, this building is going to get louder, fuller, and less flexible. Even with 38 courts, there may not be room for drop-in players when members have already booked the day.
Members made a commitment first.Members get first shot at court time.
That’s the deal.
If Match Point is becoming your regular place, convert that drop-in membership to a full membership for as low as $49 a month.Pay for the year and get a month free.
What drop-in gets you now
• No monthly fee
• You pay each time you play
• Book only 2 days ahead
• 1 court per day
• When it fills, you’re hoping there’s a leftover slot
What “as low as $49” actually gets you
Tier-1 Serve — $49/month
• Half-price open play ($7.50 peak / $6 off-peak)
• 3 hours a week of doubles court time included
• Better than paying rack rate every visit
• Students: $29/month
Off-Peak Unlimited — $49/month
• Unlimited off-peak open play
• Unlimited off-peak court rentals
• Off-peak = Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Best if you can play during the day and want to live here without nickel-and-diming every hour
Higher tiers cost more and add more (unlimited open play, more weekly court hours, longer booking windows). The $49 plans are the on-ramp. The annual + 1 month free is the “I’m not gambling on January” move.
The part that matters in winter
Members don’t just save money. They get priority. When the courts are slammed, we honor the people who committed first.
We are not kicking anyone out tonight. We are telling you now, with love and a little side-eye: if this place is your habit, stop renting the lifestyle one session at a time.
Come to the front desk. Ask for the $49 options. Ask about paying the year and getting a month free. We’ll put you in the right plan in about five minutes.
We want you here.
We want you in when there’s no leftover court.
Bill TaylorChief Vision OfficerMatch Point Pickleball Club
P.S. Drop-in is a great first date. $49 is when you stop asking if there’s room and start asking who’s available.

The APP Detroit Open is in the books, and we were thrilled to see so many of our USLPL players and owners competing in Champions and Masters Play. We're a community that battles with and against each other - and at the end of the day grab a bite or a beer.
Players who landed on medal stands include Joseph Apodaca (Silver in AARP Masters Pro Doubles) who’ll be playing for the 60+ Palm Beach Picklers and 50+ Villages Heat this season, Tom Reilly who’ll be playing for the 60+ The Gotham Flash, and Sarah Rahrig, also with the Heat!
USLPL had four team owners competing: Brooke Drayer Peters (Florida Royals), Cris Cirrito Kessler (Buffalo Blizzards), Michael Tow (Boston Dragons ), and Jeff Yurk (North Carolina Breakers).
We also saw several first-year USLPL players in Detroit: Tomer Graziani, Mike Kiley, Tamara Steele, Lara Thornton, Jim Bronson, and Beth Olivier. And, so many returning players to the league: Joel Kabacinski, Stephen Murdock, Christine Neuman, Carolyn Corbeil-Weed, Renee Stafford, Sarah Bowman, Ivana Nikolic, Amy Porter, Randy Parker, and Jackie Ebner.
See you all (and so many more ballers) in Columbus Match Point in September!
