This week kicked off the first block of four training sessions, bringing together recommended U10–U12 players from Club Ohio affiliate programs across the club.

We’re proud to see our Club Ohio East U12 Girls embrace the opportunity, compete, learn, and take the next step in their development. Great work, girls!

We’re excited to announce the Club Ohio NextGen Block 1 rosters for our U10-U12 boys and girls.

NextGen brings together high-potential players from across our Club Ohio affiliate programs for an additional development environment built around three goals:

IDENTIFY • DEVELOP • CONNECT

Players are challenged through an accelerated training environment focused on technical development, tactical understanding, performance and competitive standards, while creating a stronger connection between our affiliate programs and the Club Ohio national pathway through Girls Academy and MLS NEXT.

Preseason starts with alignment.

Coaches from across all Club Ohio affiliate locations came together for our preseason staff meeting, led by Director of Coaching Evan Fuhs.

The day centered on what it means to coach at Club Ohio: reinforcing our values and expectations, reviewing our coaching philosophy, and creating consistency in how we develop players across the club.

Evan finished the day by taking the ideas from the classroom to the field, planning and leading a training session for our staff to observe in action.

Good luck to the East 12B Green teams as they compete in the US club Midwest regionals in Chicago safe travels.

We are delighted to welcome another outstanding addition to our coaching staff, thanks to Nick Hills and the Hillsy Goalkeeper Academy.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Valen as our new Goalkeeper Coach beginning this fall!

Valen has been playing competitive soccer as a goalkeeper since the age of 14, competing in Japan, Florida, and Ohio. He is entering his senior year at Mount Vernon Nazarene University and was a 2023 Indy/Ohio Regional UPSL Champion with Inter Columbus FC.

For the past two years, Valen has coached goalkeeper fundamentals and technical skills with the Hillsy Goalkeeper Academy in Columbus and at Miami Trace High School. During that time, he has been fortunate to train, coach, and learn under Nick Hills, further developing his passion for goalkeeper training and player development.

Valen is excited for the opportunity to continue expanding his coaching experience and expertise with Club Ohio East, and we are thrilled to have him join our coaching family.
