🎳 ONE PROGRAM. ONE TIME. MORE COACHING.

We’re making an exciting change to Saturday mornings at Sequoia!

Beginning this season, ALL Youth League divisions will bowl together at 9:30 AM.

Why the change?

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Easier schedules for families with multiple youth bowlers
🎳 More coaches available to work with our kids
🙌 More opportunities for individual instruction

Instead of splitting our youth program between two shifts, we’re bringing everyone together to create an even better experience for our bowlers.

All divisions will now begin at 9:30 AM.

Youth League Families,

As we prepare for the new youth bowling season, we’re making an adjustment that we believe will make Saturday mornings better for our bowlers, families, and coaches.

Beginning this season, all youth divisions will bowl together at 9:30 AM on Saturdays.

Previously, our youth program was scheduled across two different shifts. By bringing everyone together for one 9:30 AM start, we can create a stronger and more connected youth bowling experience.

Better for Families

We know many of our families have more than one child participating in our youth program — sometimes in different divisions. A single start time means no more arriving for one shift and staying through another, or trying to coordinate different schedules for siblings.

One family. One start time. One Saturday morning at Sequoia.

More Access to Our Coaches

Bringing all of our bowlers together also allows us to maximize the availability of our volunteer coaches. Instead of dividing our coaching team between two shifts, we’ll have more coaches available at the same time and can better direct them to the bowlers and divisions that need their help.

Our goal isn’t simply to have coaches present — it’s to give every young bowler more opportunities for meaningful coaching and individual attention.

A Stronger Youth Bowling Community

There’s another benefit we’re especially excited about: having our entire youth program together.

Our younger bowlers get to see and learn from our more experienced bowlers. Coaches can collaborate across divisions. Friends and siblings can support one another. And instead of having two smaller groups coming through Sequoia at different times, Saturday morning becomes Youth Bowling Morning at Sequoia.

It also gives us more opportunities for program-wide announcements, recognition, special activities, and celebrations throughout the season.

We’re excited about what this change can do for the program. Our goal continues to be providing a youth bowling experience that helps kids improve their skills, build friendships, develop confidence, and — most importantly — enjoy being part of the sport.

We think bringing everyone together is another step toward making that experience even better.

We are excited to invite you to our Youth League Tournament on Saturday, August 15! Come out and enjoy a great day of bowling and having fun with other kids in your division.

Here are the specific details for the tournament:

- Date: Saturday, August 15
- Start Time: 12:30 PM
- Cost: $25.00 total ($5.00 Lineage / $20.00 Prize Fund)
- Format: Total pins (no handicap)

Games by Division:

- Bumpers: 3 games
- Bantam: 3 games
- Prep and Varsity: 4 games
- Classic Singles: 5 games (bowled on a sport shot)
