One of the greatest privileges of my Mrs. Ohio America journey has been shining a light on the incredible organizations making a difference across Ohio. 👑

This weekend, I had the honor of attending the Gala of Hope Foundation and participating in the live auction as Mrs. Ohio America. The "custom couture" package I wore for the auction raised more than $9,000, helping contribute to an incredible evening that generated over $2.1 million for cancer research, patient resources, and support right here in our community.

One detail I especially loved was that guests were encouraged to wear the color of a cancer that is meaningful to them. I wore teal, representing ovarian cancer, as a reminder of the importance of advocating for women's health and encouraging women to prioritize their well-being. 🩵

Thank you to Barbara Mills, Morgan Ednie, the Gala of Hope Board, and every volunteer who made this unforgettable evening possible. It was an honor to play a very small, but fun, part in such an incredible mission. ✨

These are some of my all-time favorite (non-professional) photos from pageant weekend.

Of course they’re of my kids, so naturally, I adore them. But honestly, it’s deeper than that.

My kiddos watched the entire pageant. They saw their momma emcee on stage, speaking confidently to a room full of people all day and evening. My shy, skeptical little boy surprised me; he found the courage to walk on stage not once, not twice, but multiple times because he wanted to. He even grabbed the microphone and shouted, “O-H!” only to hear the crowd echo back, “I-O!”

Never in a million years would I have imagined him doing that… but he did, and he did it with excitement. Because he saw me do it first.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the most beautiful example of why this organization and this opportunity mean so much.

It’s not just about the crown and sash. It’s not just about wearing this stunning custom Jovani gown from . It’s about showing my kids that courage is contagious — that public speaking can be fun, and fear doesn’t have to hold them back.

This might just be my favorite reason for being part of pageantry — it truly takes the cake.
