With school starting, new hours at the bowling alley, the season will be here before we know it. If anyone would like to meet up and practice, reach out to us coaches and we're more than welcome to meet you

3 1/2 years ago, several of our bowlers had the privilege of meeting and chatting with a pro bowler. Jakob Butturf took time to joke with the guys and offer some pointers. Sadly, Jakob passed away today. Our condolences to his family and the bowling community. Thank you Jakob for the memory you created with our young bowlers!

What a coincidence— we’re also already thinking about the upcoming season! Some important dates to note for this year. 🦭 🎳

🎉Final standings for singles finally posted last evening!

We had 3 bowlers advance to the 1st Survivor round.

Out of 304 girls, Olivia Rowan finished 73rd in the nation!

Out of 576 boys, Xander Goudreau finished 63rd after moving up from 178th, thanks in large part to a 299 2nd game in the Survivor round! Nicholas Heckman finished 121st!

While we wait for final standings to be posted, we would like to shout out some huge thank you's! ❤️💙

To our coaches, who are largely volunteer, thank you! You've poured so much into this team throughout the season and now into your summer too. You've missed work, spent Father's Day away from your families and treated our bowlers and their families like your own!

To our families, thank you! You've followed us all over, even out of state, providing snacks, meals, equipment and support. We had a large group of parents, grandparents and siblings join us in Ohio. We also bring a large cheering section everywhere we go!

To our district, thank you! We are grateful for the transportation and lodging to be able to participate in this opportunity. We are quickly finding out that we are more fortunate in this regard than some of our neighboring schools. We have teachers who cheer us on from home, join us in fun end of year practices and even surprise us with special treats when we are out of town!

To Best Bowl who provides a place for our practices and matches. They even made sure we had some extra practice time for this opportunity, despite being closed for summer hours. Thank you!

Also from Best Bowl, thank you to the Monday night open league and Thursday night men's league for donating a night of their 50-50 earnings to our trip. This money contributed to the meal fund for the bowlers.

Thank you to our community who participated in fundraisers and cheered us on from Pennsylvania!

Stamatios H Varias, thank you for the incredible pictures you took of our bowlers this season! Taking photos in a bowling alley is not easy!! We definitely missed you in Ohio (as you'll see from the quality of our snapshots from this trip 😂)

To the Central Pennsylvania chapter of the USBC, a huge thank you! They sponsored each bowler who attended Nationals, while also recognizing each local school district's male and female bowlers of the year. This money contributed to the meal fund for the bowlers.

To our families who made sure our bowlers looked good and got a special souvenir, thank you! Our personalized Selinsgrove jerseys, pajama pants and a portion of the cost of our team jackets came from donations from bowler families.

Thank you to our hosts, the U.S. National Bowling Foundation and Columbus Square Bowling Palace. What an incredible tournament and opportunity! We had a blast!!

To our boosters, many thanks!! Fundraising and organizational efforts have made sure that bowlers have the funds to purchase equipment and that milestones are celebrated! Between the boosters and the financial contributions from the bowling association and leagues, all meals were covered for this trip. Our bowlers did not need to spend any money to participate!

And to our bowlers, thank you for an incredible season ❤️ You worked so hard this season...Boys and Girls PHAC Champions!!! The determination and fun you demonstrated during this tournament was amazing to watch! We are so incredibly proud of you 💙

Last day of high school nationals. We had THREE of our bowlers advance in singles. They will start bowling in a few minutes!

Happy Father's Day!!
Thank you to all the dads and moms that made the trip to Ohio to support our team at Nationals!

Yesterday, our boys finished 11th out of 77 teams and our girls finished 28th out of 35 teams.

Today, they take the lanes for singles competition. Good luck to all of our bowlers: Gabby Heckman, Olivia Rowan, Lesly Nadolny, Anneke Withers, Sage Womer, Leah Treas, Jillian Gehers, Nick Heckman, Xander Goudreau, James Troxell, Xavur Romero and Will Cragle!

The boys begin competition at 8 am, and the girls begin competition at 7 pm. Finals for both are tomorrow.
