Since its founding in 1988, Ann Brodie's Carolina Ballet has been the pre-eminent pre-professional ballet company in the Midlands of South Carolina.

Carolina Ballet has the intention of promoting and maintaining a ballet company, to present performances of ballet for the benefit of the public, to develop dancers in the art of ballet, to educate and to encourage the art of ballet in South Carolina.
