Liberty High School is proud to announce the hiring of Coach Shaun Motley as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach for the Lancers. Coach Motley brings a rare and powerful blend of military leadership, Academy District 20 educator experience, and a deep passion for basketball and the Lancer athletic programs.

Coach Motley is a Missouri native who grew up playing and loving the sport of basketball. He retired from the United States Air Force and has been a dedicated classroom teacher for the past 19 years.

He is a passionate and competitive coach with over 18 years of experience coaching a wide range of skill levels. He will work hard to guide the Lancers toward success while building strong and professional relationships with our local community.

A "Meet the Coach" event is scheduled for This Thursday (8/20/2026) for all Athletes interested in playing basketball this coming season during Lunch time in the Student Council Room (Room 164) Please Arrive to the StuCo room by 11:40am on Thursday to meet Coach Motley and get off-season schedules for Fall.
