Cultivate's dance and voice studios are in the CYT Performing Arts Center, conveniently located at 5805 Mark Dabling Blvd., right off I-25 and Rockrimmon.

Did you know the CYT Performing Arts Center is a screen-free facility for students? We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from families about this policy!

🌟Being screen-free empowers our students to build face-to-face friendships and community. Instead of hanging out on phones, they eat meals together, play games, and spend time talking about their lives and interests outside of the studio.

🌟As a result of more face-to-face time, we have a closer-knit and more intentionally built community. This sense of belonging and ownership leads to less bullying, particularly in the cyber realm.

🌟Students still have the opportunity to complete homework and communicate with their families as needed, but they know our Lobby Parents are allowed to verify why they are using a device and will keep an eye on that use.

How on earth is a first-year dance studio able to afford sliding scale tuition, four beautiful studios, a spacious lobby, an on-site theater equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, performance marley, and so much more?!

Only because we are blessed to be part of CYT Colorado Springs! As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, CYT relies on the generous gifts of donors from around the country to bring arts education that is both excellent and affordable to our community.

CYT's "Standing O Society" is made up of individuals and businesses we can count on to provide on-going monthly support. We have watched the CYT Colorado Springs Executive Director and Board use these resources with great wisdom and discretion!

We recently saw a social media thread asking families what they spend on dance each year. We were absolutely shocked to see how many parents in competition-based programs spend between $20,000 and $40,000 annually for one or two kids to participate. 🤯

Let’s be honest: the average family in Colorado Springs cannot afford that! And frankly, we believe exceptional dance training is possible without that sort of price tag.

There is no getting around the fact dance training has associated expenses. The tuition. The uniform. The shoes. But at Cultivate, we do several things differently to help keep dance affordable:

👛We offer sliding scale dance tuition to families who qualify.

💵We actively encourage families to trade, swap, and buy gently used uniform supplies from one another.

💰We rely on an amazing crew of parent volunteers to help run our lobby and shows.

💲We utilize our own in-house theatre to keep recital venue costs low and pass those savings on to families.

👛We operate as part of CYT Colorado Springs, a non-profit organization.
