Making great progress with his 2013 Mitsubishi Evolution build, 2nd year Pikes Peak competitor, Ernie Ramirez joined the Kumho Tire USA Gaining Traction Program to heighten his skills as a race car driver and pursue his dream of racing to the clouds.

Congratulations to Ramirez on completing his first full run to the top in 12:27.165 🙌

Ben Ryan debuted his 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner for the 2026 Race to the Clouds, and what a sight it was to see such a classic take on the 156 Turns.

From Arvada, CO, our third Kumho Tire USA Gaining Traction Program participant managed a 12:05.728 out of the 3,000 pound, 5.8 liter "Big Bird" on Race Day. 🏁

Representing Slovakia and based in Parker, CO, Matus Huska participated in the Kumho Tire USA Gaining Traction Program with his 2010 Audi TTS, sporting the high-performance KUMHO V730 tires.

Huska finished just half a second behind fellow Kumho Tire teammate, Early O'Maley, with a time of 11:42.152 to mark a successful 5th year on the hill.

Celebrating a successful inaugural year of the Kumho Tire USA Gaining Traction Program! 👏

First up is Colorado Native, Earl O’Maley (O’Maley Racing). After battling mechanical issues all of race week, O’Maley pushed through and posted a great time when it counted and finished his 4th race up the hill in 11:41.540 behind the wheel of his very own O’Maley Special Spec V open wheel. 🙌

The Kumho Tire Gaining Traction Program gave four novice drivers based in Colorado an amazing opportunity to race to the clouds, helping them build their racing resumes by covering their PPIHC entry fees and providing tires and additional support. 🤝
