The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo has been a Colorado Springs tradition since 1937, showcasing the pinnacle of rodeo talent and action, while providing wholesome entertainment for the Pikes Peak community. Today we celebrate 150 years of the Centennial State! From the majestic peaks of the Rocky Mountains to the traditions, communities, and Western heritage that make Colorado so special, we are proud to call this place home.

For 85 years, the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo has been honored to be part of Colorado’s story—bringing people together to celebrate rodeo, patriotism, community, and the Western way of life.

As we celebrate Colorado’s 150th birthday, we look back with gratitude and look ahead with excitement for the next generation of memories, traditions, and rodeo moments.

🇺🇸 HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED — IN A WHOLE NEW WAY 🇺🇸

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, we’re proud to see creative and meaningful ways to honor the men and women who have served our country.

USAA, a proud sponsor of the NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo, has created the National Military Monument in Washington, D.C. Located alongside the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, these incredible LED displays resemble waving American flags while honoring the names of more than 41 million Americans who have served in every U.S. war since the Revolutionary War.

Visitors can even search the displays and online portal to find the names of loved ones who served.

A powerful reminder that honoring our military can take many forms—and that the stories and sacrifices of those who served should never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

We’re proud to partner with organizations like USAA that continue to find meaningful ways to honor our heroes and celebrate the freedoms they fought to protect.

A true Colorado Springs tradition that brings together rodeo, patriotism, and appreciation for those who serve. ❤️🤠

From the opening grand entry to the final ride, the 2026 NFR Open at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo gave us unforgettable moments. Champions were crowned, traditions were celebrated, and fans packed the stands night after night to cheer on the very best in rodeo.

Thank you to every contestant, volunteer, sponsor, military member, and fan who made this week so special. Your passion and support are what make the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo one of the greatest traditions in the West.
