Here’s May 2026. Super behind on posting, been busy…
•Core Health & Fitness Dallas Summit presenting on Strength and doing hands on workshops/workouts My best friend Cortney Davis joined in the fitness fun and we also celebrated her birthday. I love you sweet friend Cortney D 🤍.
•Then drove down to my hometown for crawfish and a surprise 40th bday party for my sister.
•Once I returned to CO, Blake and I kicked off the summer by going to our secret fishing spot just 45 mins away from our house back-to-back weekends.
•My beloved mentor Lance Walker came to NSCA HQ to film his presentation for the Personal Trainers Conference. I brought in a bunch of my athletes to be models for the shoot and I coached them while Lance narrated.
•Then it was graduation parties for our athletes we’ve known for all 4 years of high school or longer!

FIRST YEAR TEACHER, FIRST YEAR TRACH COACH, SECOND YEAR CROSS COUNTRY COACH, THIRD HIGH SCHOOL AS A STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH.

Just completed a full year of the best job I’ve had in my life at Colorado Springs Christian School. I taught 3 PE classes everyday of the week, getting to see the same kids everyday for 45 minutes. We would train 4 days of the week, then have a lecture on Wednesday over nutrition, exercise, physiology, health, and wellness. In CO, a teacher’s license is required to instruct at a public school. I would have had to go to Saturday school for two years and much money later to get this license. After the door closed at Liberty HS as after school S&C coach (wanted double hours from me for same pay) - the door opened for me the SAME WEEK as a PE teacher at CSCS. Praise God. I got to pick my class periods and how much I wanted to work (part time, then stay after school as a stipend coach).

My dream of impacting the next generation and filling my purpose through training and educating to help and love others came true (had this dream since grad school). Furthermore, I can hold my younger Christian brothers and sisters accountable for living an above average life, being different from society, honoring God, and ministering to others through health, wellness, fitness, and nutritional choices.

Took a trip to San Antonio. The home state of Texas is like no other. Made the rounds:
•My parents drove in for the weekend. They are amazing humans.
•Stay with my best friend - got to see her house she owns, her son baby Lennox, her now husband . Haven’t seen them since all of that went down! The connection is deep with them.
•Saw my aunt, uncle, cousins, and all their houses, and pet goat that acts like a dog. It’s been almost two decades since I’ve seen some of them.
•Went to Olivia & Connor’s wedding - I know them from their time at Air Force here in the Springs. We were weightlifters together at the gym.
•Got two lifts in at . I don’t make excuses during travel or vacation.
•Blake’s parents drove in and they did some fun outdoor activities

Reap what you sow.

A few moments from February & March. Had my 33rd birthday and Blake’s 34th as a highlight. Thank God for this life.

Made 5 trips to Hobby Lobby to make gift centerpieces for my SIL & sis. Hip mobility workshop. Beautiful snow on our street and outside the school I teach PE at. Christmas market with Nick and his gf. Warm hike with Jenna. AI Christmas photo edit. Went to TX for 8 days to see family. Had our first Christmas without my MawMaw but still kept the family traditions alive. Made 4 pear cakes. Went to Coach Tim Sword’s garage gym. Got to train the beloved college athlete Hunter that I’ve trained for over 4 years now. Ended the year with friends in downtown Colorado Springs (first time out for NYE since 2019).
