Meet the emerald ash borer: small, metallic green, and one of the most destructive pests to hit Colorado's ash trees. Adults emerge in late spring through summer, but it's the larvae underneath the bark doing the real damage, cutting off the tree's ability to move water and nutrients. Signs to watch for include thinning canopy, D-shaped exit holes in the bark, and increased woodpecker activity. If you have an ash tree on your property, now's the time to know the signs of infestation, catching it early makes all the difference in whether a tree can be saved.

Check out this before and after! 🌲These pines were carefully lifted along the sidewalk and fence line to create a cleaner, more accessible space while preserving the natural character of the trees.

26 years. 🌳
This past weekend, we celebrated 26 years of Tall Timbers with two of our favorite traditions our annual company BBQ and golf tournament.
It was a great day filled with good food, some questionable golf, plenty of laughs, and most importantly, time spent together as a Tall Timbers family.
26 years is a pretty incredible milestone, and we know we wouldn’t be here without the people who have been part of this journey, our employees, their families, our customers, and everyone who has supported Tall Timbers along the way.
We’re incredibly grateful for the people who make this company what it is. Here’s to 26 years and many more to come! 🥂🌲

Emerald Ash Borer has officially been confirmed in Colorado Springs.
This is an important reminder that protecting our urban canopy starts with awareness and early action.
Not every ash tree will need to be removed, but every ash tree should be evaluated. Developing a proactive plan now can help preserve healthy trees and reduce future risks.
If you have questions about identifying ash trees or understanding your management options, the team at Tall Timbers is here to help.

Congratulations to our newest Prescription Pruning Qualification (PPQ) certificate holders! 🌳🎉
A big congratulations to Dylan, Kevin, and Linda for earning their PPQ Prescriber certification, and to Jacob for earning his PPQ Producer certification.
The Prescription Pruning Qualification (PPQ) is an industry-recognized credential that helps standardize tree pruning practices. Prescribers are trained to assess trees and develop detailed pruning specifications, while Producers are trained to properly execute those pruning recommendations in the field.
We're proud of our team for continuing to invest in their education and bringing the latest industry knowledge back to our customers. Great work, everyone!
