The robots have taken over at Patty Jewett!

We named this robotic mower Johnny P after one of our favorite employees. Johnny P will be mowing on 6 Prairie rough and Fairway Monday through Friday. Thank you to High Altitude equipment for providing us a two-week demo with a Kress robotic mower!

⛳️ Why Golf Matters in Colorado Springs

Our golf courses are more than places to play—they’re where our community shows up.

They’re early morning tee times with friends, juniors learning the game for the first time, and families spending time outside together. They’re conversations on the patio, rounds that turn into traditions, and spaces where people from all walks of life come together.

In a city like Colorado Springs, places like this matter. They keep us active, connected, and grounded in something bigger than ourselves.

From historic fairways at Patty Jewett to the welcoming atmosphere at Valley Hi, our courses are part of the fabric of this community.

⛳️ When you tee it up, you’re supporting more than golf—you’re supporting a public asset that brings people together.

If you've golfed with us recently, you might be wondering, "what are these orange stacks about?" The answer: native grass!

Thanks to our new irrigation system, we are able to incorporate 25 acres of our course with new native grasses! These orange stacks mark where we've planted these new grasses so that we can monitor and support their growth.

Today's shoutout is for you. Yes, YOU! Our golfers have worked with our Maintenance Team to keep the greens beautiful and manageable during a particularly dry season. The implementation of our new PACE system and use of temporary tees on the Par 3's couldn't have happened without your cooperation and support.

In the meantime, our Maintenance Staff have been using our new winter hydrants to water the greens, making sure your tee time is available as often as possible, year-round!

Good news, golfers -- Patty Jewett will be open tomorrow (1/30/26) for 9-Hole Rounds and this weekend for 18-Hole Rounds!
