January to May. Five races. Five personal records. One hundred fifty pounds lighter. Same guy. Different choices. I’m not going to tell you I’m a trainer or a coach because I’m not. I’m a dude who got tired of waiting until the perfect moment to start moving. Spoiler alert: the perfect moment is now. The secret everyone’s looking for? There isn’t one. Get outside. Start exactly where you are. Start moving. If you need someone in your corner, I’m here. June is booked. Let’s get outside and enjoy the ride.

New video is up, and I want to be honest with you about something.
In January, I ran the Cottonwood course in one degree weather, completely frozen, and finished in 1 hour 4 minutes. That day I didn't even know if I could finish. I just knew I had to start.
Back in May, I came back to that same course for the Super Mom 5K and ran it in 47 minutes and 38 seconds.
Same course. Same guy. 17 minutes faster. Five months of just showing up.
No surgery. No GLP-1s. Just a promise to myself that this time is gonna be different.
I got a little emotional at the finish line. Not gonna lie. Because it wasn't just the time. It was January. It was every early morning.

Battery life isn’t a spec sheet flex when you’re a bigger athlete. It’s whether your watch can keep up with the time you actually spend out there. Part 2 of the Coros vs Apple series.
Apple Watch vs Nomad from a 300 pound athlete’s wrist. Starting a series nobody else is making. Stick around. 🫡
300 pounds. June heat. Getting passed by bikers mid-run.
My brain was nothing but excuses. I wish I had my bike. I wish it was cooler. I wish I was anywhere but here.
Then I caught myself. Because I could feel every single one of those thoughts slowing me down.
Pulled out my phone right there on the course. Not really for content. I needed to hear myself say it out loud.
Stop wishing. Be in the suck. The version of you that handles this better is on the other side of finishing it right now.
Ran the whole thing. Aiden’s Fun Run 5K done.
Stop wishing. Start preparing.
Been wearing this backpack for four years and it has not let me down once.
5Ks. Gravel races. Day hikes. International travel. It showed up in my very first hike video and it is still on my back today.
Teton Oasis. 3 liter water bladder, serious carry capacity, built in rain cover. I trusted it enough to get my wife one and we took them both to Hawaii.
Not on TikTok Shop but the link is in my Linktree in bio. If you have been looking for a pack that actually fits and actually performs, this is the one.
To my Brother! Thank you. Thank you for being there. Thank you for being the ear at 2am when I know you were asleep and I had a rough day. Thank you for not being afraid to challenge yourself and if no one has said this lately, I am so proud of you man! Let’s earn that steak dinner in December! I can’t wait for it!
