TICKET PUNCHED!

and are STATE BOUND!

All four varsity teams — CMS Boys, CMS Girls, WCMS Boys, and WCMS Girls — have earned their spot at the TSSAA Middle School State Cross Country Championships!

Four teams. Two schools. One family. And we’re all headed to Clarksville on October 3rd!

A lot of miles, early mornings, late night, hot practices, and hard work went into earning these tickets. Now it’s time to represent Collierville on the state stage!

TSSAA SECTIONALS!

What a day for on our home course at W.C. Johnson Park!

It was HOT, but our Dragons battled through the conditions at the TSSAA Class AAA Section 4 Championships, and BOTH varsity teams earned their trip to STATE!

🏆 VARSITY GIRLS – SECTION RUNNER-UP & STATE BOUND!

Our girls finished 2nd overall, putting four runners in the top 13 and all five scorers in the top 18!

🔥 Top 5 West Girls:
• Amelia Patrick – 9th – 13:39.16
• Leah Wright – 10th
• Isabella Whitby – 12th
• Claire Graham – 13th
• Julieta Martinez-Trevino – 18th

🔥 VARSITY BOYS – 3rd PLACE & STATE BOUND!

The boys finished 3rd overall, led by two TOP FOUR finishes!

• Mason Patrick – 4th
• Sam Lingerfelt – 12th
• Ramon Cuesta – 20th
• Benny Evans – 21st

🔥 JV BRAGGING RIGHTS!

Our JV girls took the TEAM WIN, scoring just 25 points and putting five runners in the top eight! Lauren Foster won the race in 15:31.95!

A special thanks to WCMS Principal Shaw for coming out today to support our runners. It means a lot to our athletes to see that support on race day!

State is set for October 3 in Clarksville, but we aren't done racing yet!

Next up: Tuesday night at Shelby Farms for what we HOPE will finally be the first MYA race of the season — if the heat doesn't cancel another one!

Johnson Park will host the TSSAA Class AAA Sectionals, and there’s a lot on the line — a chance to advance to the TSSAA State Championships!

This is our home course. Our town. And we want a HOME CROWD!

Come out Saturday, line the course, get loud and SUPPORT THE DRAGONS as they race for a trip to STATE!

A strong day in Alabama for !

The West Dragons made their first-ever trip to Moulton today for the Chickasaw Invitational and got exactly what we came for, a chance to race against some tough regional competition.

And this was packed, with 338 girls and 442 boys competed in the Junior High races, with 20 girls teams and 28 boys teams represented.

Our West Dragons are a 6th–8th grade middle school team, while the Alabama Junior High division includes 7th–9th graders, so several of our runners were lining up against athletes a grade or two older.

The West girls finished 4th overall out of 20 teams!

Sixth grader Leah Wright led the West girls with a big race, finishing 26th overall in 14:34.43. Cora Schatz followed in 39th at 15:01.39, Alayna Adamski was 52nd at 15:28.45, Isabella Whitby finished 57th at 15:40.96, and sixth grader Julieta Martinez-Trevino rounded out West's five scoring runners in 72nd at 15:51.65.

The West boys finished 8th overall out of 28 teams, led by a huge race from Noah Bryant, who finished 7th overall in 11:29.05 and earned his way to the platform!

Benny Evans was next for West in 55th at 13:01.01, followed by Ramon Cuesta in 79th at 13:31.86 and Logan Case in 85th at 13:34.54. Sixth grader Colter Craven rounded out the five scoring runners, finishing 150th in 14:28.45.

Proud of this group for making their first trip to Chickasaw, stepping up against older competition, and representing Collierville well.

4th out of 20 for the girls and 8th out of 28 for the boys against a field like this, couldn't be more prouder.

Happy Labor Day everyone! Busy week ahead for both teams.

and just wrapped up the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic Saturday night, and there’s not much downtime as we get ready for a busy week of racing!

Wednesday Night: We kick off the Memphis Youth Athletics race series with Race #1 at Shelby Farms at 6:00 PM.

Then on Saturday, we hit the road for Decatur, Alabama, and the Chickasaw Trails Invitational, where our runners will get another chance to line up against some tough regional competition.

Two races. Two states. One busy week for the Dragons!
