Want to learn more about UMD Club Badminton?

We are holding an interest meeting to teach people about how the club is run, how practices are organized, tips about competitive team tryouts and more!

Join us on Friday, Sept 11th in SPH1312 at 8PM. We will finish right before Fridays practice so you can check out the club right after learning more about it.

(Zoom link will be provided for people unable to make it in person. Link will be sent out in our discord server before the meeting starts.)

What to play badminton competitively?
Competitive team tryouts are coming up🔥. Everyone is encouraged to come tryout and we hope to see you there :)

We have a non binding pre registration form (in bio)

If you have any questions about how tryouts are run, you can look at some FAQs in our LinkTree (bio) or for more specific questions, you can join our discord server (also in bio) and ask us there. There will still be courts available for free play if you are not trying out.

These are the people who help run practices and organize fun events through the year from fun internal tournaments to one of the largest open tournaments in the east coast DC Open 🏸.

Sending off our graduating seniors and transfer students of Spring 2026 🥺

Taylor. Our wonderful A Team Co-Captain will be graduating with a degree in Technology and Information Design.

Josh. Our team’s strategic master and other Team A Co-Caption will be graduating with a degree in computer science and working in cybersecurity.

Michael. Our Team B Captain who will be graduating with a degree in business management and entomology minor, caring on his family business.

Leon. Training team member graduating with a degree in information studies.

Andy. The club’s dedicated treasurer is graduating with a degree in finance and information systems and heading off to Northrop Grumman.

Colin. Our club’s president will be headed off to NY with his degree in fire protection engineering and minor in project management.

Rachel. Transferring to Iowa to pursue majors in Statistics and actuary.

We thank you all for your hardworking for this club and wish you well on your journey outside of the courts. Keep playing badminton 🏸.
