BEFORE MMA TOOK OVER TV… WMAC MASTERS WAS SHOWING FANS WHAT ELITE MARTIAL ARTS LOOKED LIKE.

On September 16, 1995, WMAC Masters premiered, bringing real-life martial artists, larger-than-life characters, and competitive combat to television. For many fans, it was their first introduction to martial arts beyond the movies.

THE NIGHT A $20 BET STARTED A PARKING LOT WAR! 🥊🔥

In 1968, wrestling legends Danny Hodge and “Cowboy” Bill Watts argued over a $20 bet outside a Tulsa bar.

Then the crowd jumped in—and the parking lot erupted.

Watts allegedly flipped a Buick onto its side for cover, while Hodge used his legendary grip to fend off anyone who got close.

Afterward, they reportedly shook hands, paid for the damage, and went back inside for a drink.
