You learn a lot about a group on a hill.
Who talks.
Who shuts up.
Who starts joking because everyone’s smoked.
Who keeps moving anyway.
The funny part is nobody bonds over the easy stuff.
It’s always the same miserable climb, the same weight, the same thought of this is bulls**t, and the same decision to keep going with everyone else.
That’s usually how teams get built.
Not through speeches.
Through shared suffering and a mutual hatred for the same terrain.
