Congratulations to our newest shodans (first degree black belts)! Maria and Rosey have dedicated years to studying and growing their judo in addition to contributing to our community through their work as interns, referees, and overall role models. We are so proud of both of you!

FJC Summer Camp 2026 was possibly the best one yet! We had so many amazing judoka, super helpful volunteers, supportive parents, lots of judo learning, fun games, and temps stayed below 110!

Annual obstacle course post!

Every year returning campers ask over and over when the obstacle course is happening and the awe on new kids’ faces when they walk into the dojo and see the set up is the best!

Huge thank you to Sensei Larry, Sensei Randy, the Fresno State team, our high school helpers, and the parents for making this such a memorable staple of camp week!

Shoutout to Rhylin for placing gold at the California State Games last weekend (and her parents for taking her)! She was the sole representative of FJC and won three matches to secure 1st place.

Congratulations to Stephen for receiving his shodan! He and his family have dedicated years of time, energy, and heart into judo in the Central Valley and his promotion was well deserved!
