Here are the Mad Science notes and lesson plan for 13-18 July 2026.

Jiu-Jitsu Focus:
Adult: Guard Sweeps
Youth: Common Core Skill Development (Pass/Sweep/Submit)

Judo Focus:
Adult: Olympic and Kosen Judo – Instructor selected
Youth: Olympic Judo – Instructor Selected

Youth Wrestling: Neutral and Top position development
Kickboxing Focus: Instructor Selected
Sambo Focus: Skill development
Combatives Focus: Improvised Weapons Exploration & Skill Review

Notes:

1. Normal/Full schedule this week.

2. We are hosting the "Rolling Gypsies" on Saturday, July 25th From 11:00 - 1:00. The Rolling Gypsies are a group of ladies who travel around the south east and provide free Jiu-Jitsu clinics and training to help encourage more ladies to practice Jiu-Jitsu. This is a free women's-only event, open to all clubs and skill levels. The ladies are welcome to stick around after and participate in out Open Mat at 1:00.

3. Monday Morning classes will be paused for the summer (Tuesday through Friday are normal)

4. Saturday Judo will be open Judo practice for the summer – check the app for the number of participants

5. We are adjusting the Saturday open mat start time back from 1:00 to 12:00 for the summer.

6. We have set up an online Pro-shop; at the moment, it has video material from Master Sauer and coach Ted, and some simple T-shirts and sweatshirts. We will add more things as we go. https://madsciencejudoandjiujitsu.com/online-pro-shop

1. Independence Day
The academy will be closed Saturday, July 4. Have a safe and happy Independence Day!

2. Summer Schedule
Monday morning classes are paused for the summer.
Tuesday–Friday morning classes remain on their normal schedule.

3. Saturday Judo
Saturday Judo will be Open Judo Practice throughout the summer. Please check the app for participation before attending.

4. Open Mat Time Change
Beginning this week, Saturday Open Mat will start at 12:00 PM for the summer.

5. Rolling Gypsies Women's Jiu-Jitsu Clinic
Saturday, July 25 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
We're excited to host the Rolling Gypsies, a group of women who travel throughout the Southeast providing FREE Jiu-Jitsu clinics to encourage more women to train.
