Our Learn to Row (LTR) program has wrapped up for the summer, and we were blessed to have had 30 new rowers try out the program across three different sessions! Some of our LTR rowers even chose to continue on into our Modified/Novice program for the rest of the summer and join the team this fall.

We are so glad to have been able to share this amazing sport with members of the Clifton Park Community. Thank you to the Town of Clifton Park Parks and Recreation Dept for collaborating with us to reach new families and for helping us conduct swim tests before the start of each session.

We would also like to thank all of the Varsity Rowers who volunteered to be in the boats with our LTR rowers, and our amazing LTR coaches who taught them all the fundamentals of rowing. You all helped to make this a fun and successful experience for everyone!

🌼🍁 We are excited to kick off Shen Rowing’s Annual Fall Flower Fundraiser, and we are pleased to once again partner with M&K Greenhouses of Selkirk!

40% of gross sales goes directly to the club and help individual rowers reach their fundraising goals. During checkout, please indicate the name of the rower you are supporting with your purchase. If you don’t know a rower, that’s okay! Please indicate “team” instead.

Our Hoffman Car Wash Fundraiser is still live for another week, and 50% of all sales from our digital store go directly back to support our student-athletes and help their families reach their fundraising goals. The details:

Photo finishes and fast strokes! 🚣‍♀️

Huge thanks to Burnt Hills Rowing for an awesome scrimmage last week. Every race was a close battle, with Burnt Hills edging out the win in the Mixed 8+ “Island Sprint.”

Fun fact: The Island Sprint was inspired by the original BHRA “Gator Races” that Coach Sean and Coach Shelby used to row during training trips in South Carolina. Safe to say the tradition is alive and well! 🐊

Congrats on the win—we can’t wait for our next go at it 💪
