Sappy post warning.
Sharing some of our Vultures K**b memories from over the years. Some in text, some in photos. Most of the team met in some form or fashion at a ride or race at VK, and this is where our name actually came from KNOBby Side Down. Some of us are from the second gen of riding there (late 2000s) as team of friends officially formed K**bside in 2011. Some of us cut our teeth learning how to trail build from the greats, some of us have scars from falls and learning how to mountain bike at the K**b, there have been lots of fake sponsor logos and inside team jokes on our jerseys that were formed from memories at the K**b.
One thing is true, as the physical place may be no longer, we all have a lifetime of memories and forever friends that we will not forget. Enjoy and post up your memories if you'd like ❤️. - Corianne
Colleen Bowers: Before ever sitting b***y on a saddle, I used to come watch and cheer on races at vultures k**b. Brought my kids and parents. Loved watching all y’all crazy bikers… never imagining I'd join you all one day… never imagining my future best friends were out there riding. 331, OMBC, Nombs… all of it.
On bike at VK - I fondly remember being there on a race day with Kaliner not racing but having the time of our lives enjoying sections of the park not part of the race course. A friendship was born that day :-).
I remember ant mounds, bees, mud, bridges, fun signs, heat, bonfires, that gravel road in, interesting parking, twisty turny sections, walking or riding up and down and up and down that service road (pretty sure I hold a :trophy: on that service rd segment :joy:), and genuine all-around good times!
24 hour races, Woo Town Single Speed Challenges, winter races, the bonfires, the fun signs, the wooden features, the Dr. K**b Menevalent Team Challenges, we could go on...
Ps you can only post 80 photos on a FB post who knew 🤷♀️🤣!
