🔥 Heat Wave Update for Kids Skate Friday & Adult Skate Camp for tomorrow July 3rd ☀️🛹🌊

With the incoming heat wave, the ASW crew and wanted to reach out to everyone scheduled for tomorrow’s Kids Skate Friday and Adult Skate Camp at

If you’d prefer to postpone your Friday session and move it to another available Friday, no problem at all—just let us know!

As of now, we’re planning to be there and run all lessons as scheduled. Our instructors are ready to go, and we’ll be doing everything we can to keep everyone comfortable, including:

💧 FREE ice-cold water
🧴 FREE SPF sunscreen courtesy of
⛱️ Our pop-up canopy for plenty of shade
🌬️ And don’t forget the world-famous Lake Erie breeze! We were down by the lake yesterday, and it felt pretty amazing.

We completely understand if you’d rather reschedule due to the heat. Just send us a message, and we’ll happily move your session to another Friday.

We had an awesome time skating with and and all the great skaters at this amazing facility in beautiful downtown Cleveland. It was great to see such a big crew of skaters—welcoming some new faces while reconnecting with familiar shredders from our skate camps over the past couple of years.

A huge thank you to all of the parents, caregivers, and, of course, all of the shredders who came out and made the day so much fun.

We’re officially BACK at North Coast Yard for Kids Skate Fridays!

Our first sessions kick off on June 5th and June 12th, and we’re now booking lessons for two time slots:

These lessons are designed for true beginners all the way to intermediate+ skaters — whether you’re learning how to stand on a skateboard for the first time, drop in, or land your first kickflip, these lessons are for you.

We know this is a bit of a stretch—but we’re putting it out there

We’re currently looking for a donated cargo van, box truck, pickup truck, or cargo trailer to help us continue our work. 🚚

This would allow us to:

🧮 Move our fundraiser set-up to weekly events
🛹 Transport our pop-up skate park features
📦 Move donated gear across the state
👥 Potentially bring kids from underserved neighborhoods to skate events

Right now, we’re spending $200–$500 per week on rentals just to keep things moving—and it’s become one of our biggest ongoing challenges. If wants to sponsor that would be epic 🚐

If you (or a business, church, or organization you know) have a vehicle or trailer—even something older but still in working condition—we would be incredibly grateful. Each donation is tax deductible and greatly appreciated🤩

This kind of support would go a long way in helping us expand access and continue providing free skateboards, lessons, and events across Ohio and beyond.
