The Browns' quarterback competition is turning heads even inside the locker room.

As the battle between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders continues, Browns EDGE Jared Verse is impressed by what he's seen from both quarterbacks.

During his appearance on Good Morning Football, Verse had high praise for the competition:

“These are two great quarterbacks... so far I've just seen two elite quarterbacks battling it out.”

Competition brings out the best in players, and if Verse's assessment is any indication, Cleveland could have one of the most intriguing quarterback battles heading into the season.

Now the question is: Who will earn the starting job when it matters most?

The Browns might have found the NFL's next superstar linebacker.

After just one NFL season, Carson Schwesinger is already being called...
"Luke Kuechly reincarnated."

An NFL personnel executive praised the Browns star, saying:
"Elite speed, athleticism, instincts, ball skills."

ESPN's annual survey of NFL executives, coaches and scouts ranked Schwesinger as the No. 3 off-ball linebacker in football.

Jeremy Fowler summed it up perfectly:
"The next star linebacker has arrived."

His rookie season was unreal:

🔸2+ sacks, 2+ interceptions & 10+ tackles for loss

He became the first rookie since Shaquille Leonard (2018) to hit all three marks in a season.

An AFC evaluator added:
"Plays fast, excellent instincts, good in coverage. Impressive for a rookie."

Even Browns linebackers coach Jason Tarver couldn't hide his excitement:
"Carson's so smart... his superpower is running to the ball and finding the ball. He wants to be really good at everything—covering, rushing, fitting runs—and just be a great teammate."

One season in... and Carson Schwesinger is already being mentioned alongside Luke Kuechly. That's elite company.

Michael Hall Jr. showed encouraging flashes despite another challenging season.

After returning from a major knee injury, the former second-round pick continued developing and gave Cleveland reasons to be excited about his future.

His 2025 production included:

🧡 2 tackles for loss
🤎 4 QB hits

Now entering his third NFL season, Hall has an opportunity to build on that progress and become a bigger contributor along the Browns' defensive line.

ESPN’s Ben Solak named Tyson Campbell as the Cleveland Browns on cleveland.com’ breakout candidate for the 2026 season.

Campbell looked more comfortable after arriving in Cleveland, where a simplified coverage role helped him rediscover some of his previous form.

Playing opposite Denzel Ward gives Campbell a chance to reestablish himself as a high-level No. 2 corner and help keep the Browns’ defense among the NFL’s best.
