Western Reserve Rowing Association (WRRA)

Mother Nature certainly wasn’t kind to the rowers at RowFest 2026! The first two days were canceled due to poor air quality, and when we finally got back on the water, strong winds forced racing to end after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Despite the challenging conditions, the WRRA Women persevered and brought home a silver medal in the Women’s Masters Club D 4+ event!

Congratulations to our amazing crew on an outstanding performance and a well-earned medal. We’re proud of your determination and resilience!

What a fantastic way to celebrate the 4th of July! WRRA members, coaches, and coxswains came together for a beautiful morning on the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie, enjoying great rowing, great company, and celebrating our nation's independence.

Given the unusually high heat index and poor air quality levels predicted for between 5 PM and 9PM today, July 1, 2026, all SRL, Reserve Masters and Masters practices are cancelled. It is strongly recommended that all WRRA rowers refrain from practicing in those hours.
While only the CRF Safety Committee has the authority to close the docks, it is the opinion of the WRRA Safety Chair that rowing this evening presents an unacceptable level of risk. Any WRRA member doing so does so entirely at their own risk, and contrary to their club's advice. WRRA assumes no responsibility for anyone rowing this evening.
