E. John Busser Ballet Scholarship

We are so proud to introduce Champion Mindset Consulting as our first official partner dedicated to supporting the well-being of the whole dancer.

We all know that behind every resilient artist is a dedicated parent investing endless time and energy, yet resources tailored specifically to help families navigate this journey are so hard to find.

This partnership changes that by opening up vital mental performance tools and emotional wellness resources not just to our 2026 scholarship recipients, and applicants, and their support systems. Together, we are investing in the strength, confidence, and mindset of the dancer.

Our alumni have traveled the globe training, competing, and performing. What amazing careers they've had so far. 💖

Our 2016 recipent, .jess, had her international competition experience at the 2014 Tanzolymp International Dance Festival in Berlin, Germany, where she was awarded a Gold medal. Jessica recently retired from dancing after 7 seasons with Alabama Ballet.

A little closer to home, but just as prestigious an international competition experience, several of our alumni have taken part in the US IBC in Jackson, Mississippi.

, a 2018 recipient, was awarded a Bronze medal at the 2018 US IBC. Tia is currently dancing with the Royal Swedish Ballet.

Both , a 2019 recipient, and .adarmes, a 2024 & 2025 recipient, competed in the 2023 US IBC. Amber is currently dancing with the Dutch National Ballet's Junior Company, while Leonidas is currently dancing with
the National Ballet Theater Colón.

Our EJB Alum have traveled the world training and competing as they chased their dreams of becoming professional ballet dancers.

As we celebrate .zeinab in Moscow, let's look back on several of our alum and the major international competitions they have taken part in.

Our 2022 Senior recipient, , took part in the 2020 Prix de Laussane and was awarded the 5th scholarship. Chaeyong is currently dancing with the Korean National Ballet.

Our 2019 recipient, , took part in the 2022 Prix de Laussane. Amber is currently dancing with the Dutch National Ballet's Junior Company.

On the other side of the world, two other alumni spent time in Asia.

Our 2017 recipient, , competed in the 2019 IBC in Beijing, China. Florrie is currently dancing with Sacramento Ballet.

Our 2018 recipient, , also competed in Beijing in 2018 and was awarded a bronze medal. Tia currently dances with the Royal Swedish Ballet.

Toi, toi, toi to our 2025 Senior recipient, .zeinab, as she is participating in the 15th annual International Ballet Competition in Moscow.
