Shovels hit the dirt yesterday at the Jim Thome All-Star Complex🪏 Two new turf infields are coming to Brookside Reservation. They’ll be the first fields in Cleveland built exclusively for softball, and the 4th & 5th from Cleveland Guardians Charities Fields for the Future Program. 🚧 More innings, fewer rainouts. Built for softball athletes, from the ground up and ready for play in Spring 2027! 🥎 Thank you to Cleveland Metroparks, Kaulig Giving, Marathon, Richard Morrison and every fan whose support of CGC made this possible. ❤️💙

Two weeks ago, Guardians Youth Summer Camps (GYSC) presented by Union Home Mortgage hosted another ballpark day at Progressive Field. Over 200 campers participated in a series of drills on the warning track, dugouts, and bullpens of the ballpark.

GYSC campers were also joined by Guardians starting pitcher Parker Messick and former closer Cody Allen who each shared valuable tips and answered questions for the campers in attendance.

The Guardians Nike RBI 12U team took on Cooperstown, New York last week, competing at Cooperstown All Star Village against teams from across the country.
 
After a successful pool-play round, this Cleveland group entered tournament play as the No. 30 seed and pulled off a major first-round upset over the No. 3 overall seed. They finished the week with a 5–3 record and earned a spot in the Gold Bracket.
 
Beyond the competition, the team created lasting memories by bonding on and off the field and exploring the history of the game at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, including the many Hall of Famers who once played right here in Cleveland. A special week of baseball, growth, and unforgettable experiences for this group. 🏆⚾️
