That's what the MMRA family raised through Checkers For Charity, and we could not be prouder to hand over this check.

Every dollar goes toward research into congenital heart defects. The Children's Heart Foundation was founded in 1996 and is the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding CHD research. Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the United States, and a baby is born with one every 15 minutes.

To everyone who raced, participated in the raffles and auction, and showed up this weekend: this one is on you. Racers take care of their own, and this year that circle got a whole lot bigger.

Join us this weekend at our Annual Checkers For Charity race event. This year we are supporting The Children's Heart Foundation . All proceeds from entry fees, concessions, and our amazing silent auction will go to benefit this organization.

The Children's Heart Foundation was founded in 1996 and is the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect (CHD) research.

Racing will start around 6pm.

Kids ages 5-15 (62 inches and under) can experience the thrill of driving a real RACE CAR!

We provide the car and equipment - you just bring your child and camera (closed toe shoes also required).

$25 for 10 laps - proceeds are part of the fundraising for the track! *** Prepayment is required at sign up and will only be refunded if we need to cancel the event due to weather.

Your child will attend a short training session at our “Driving Experience Rookie Drivers School” and then be monitored on the track and given real time feedback.

Michigan Motorsports Racing Association has made the difficult decision to cancel this Friday's racing program, Friday Night Fury, due the deteriorating air quality conditions expected across Southeast Michigan.

Current forecasts indicate an unfavorable smoke from the ongoing Canadian wildfires is expected to push air quality into unhealthy and potentially dangerous levels throughout much of Michigan. The safety of drivers and families will always remain our top priority.

The track will still be open for practice or parking tomorrow if you choose

We will continue to monitor both the weather and air quality levels for the driver experience scheduled for Saturday morning, the club race Saturday night with the Christmas in July activity and the Sunday qualifying and club race.

Come out and support our kiddos and our amazing club Michigan Motorsports Racing Association. No better place to be than at the track surrounded by friends who are now family.

‼️IMPORTANT PARKING DETAILS FOR THIS WEEKEND ‼️

⏰️Visitor parking will open at 6pm on Friday. You must have an MMRA member give directions on where to park when you arrive.

🚫➡️ Anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult accompany them at all times when not inside the yellow area by the track. Kids will need to be walked back and forth to trailers, no exceptions. This yellow area will be roped off.

🚲 Bikes and scooter may only be ridden inside the yellow zone by the track. (Probably best to just leave those at home this weekend if you will be parking outside of there 😉)

🙏Please be respectful of the facility. Have a chat with your kids about these expectations before you arrive. The track has active gun ranges on two sides of the facility. Many will be parked near the road race course. Do not enter that area.
